Greetings dear steemians, it's a pleasure to share my writings about my best travel companion with you all, because I just travel last week and guest who I travel with!!!😌?. Don't worry just go through this my participation in this contest organised by @abdullahw2, entitled; "Contest Alert !!! || My Best Travel Companion".
Who is your best travel companion? Tell us why he/she best for you?
However, I must proudly say that the best companion when it comes to travelling is my best friend, David. We like travelling to work or even for fun. The two of us travelled to his village the week before to help harvest cassava at their farm. David is good because he ready himself for any type of traveling, above all; his attitude is really cool. One of the things I admire most in him is that he understands my love to shoot pictures, and always reminds me to shoot some or even assists whenever I forget capturing some scenes. Although he isn't registered in the steemit platform which makes me a picture freak, I feel he has a super talent for clicking pictures.
How does this companion enhance your travel experiences?
David makes our travels entertaining and fun.He has a sweet lovely character as a brother to me, and even the most insignificant activity he will transform into unforgettable journey. When travel, We both always love trying out new things, like going to new places or eating foods we haven't tasted before and meeting or making new friends. And what really counts is that David encourages my interest in photography. When I sometimes get caught up with the moment and forget to photograph it, David reminds me and snaps a few pictures himself. This way, we always have great memories to look back on.
Share a memorable moment or the story of a trip you had with your travel companion.
One of the best journeys I had with David was the one we made last week to his village to assist in harvesting cassava for the burial of his grandma. We start our travel very early in the morning. We didn't work the first day we arrive we rested and enjoy all the day. The next day we got up very early and went to the farm. Later in the day, his mum brought us some food: afang soup and cold palm wine which we enjoyed and we too some pictures of these meal. Sweet breaks repowered our energies to continue working. It was such a wonderful experience, especially in the daytime: harvesting cassava, then afterwards going to the stream and cooling off. Playing around in that water, it seemed there was so much fun. That made me feel joyful since for the past four years, I had never gone swimming. What a travel, full of joy and fun, but all that got so very special When looking to those pictures that we snap and by sharing all that with David. If you want to read more about this story about my travel with David, click hereto read about it on my last post.
Below are some of the pictures we save as memories on our last trip👇.
What qualities do you think make someone or something a great travel companion?
Some of the major qualities of a great travel companion include the fact that one must always have a positive approach and be prepared for any given travel. This keeps the journey fun and thrilling, even when things never go as intended. Patience is also crucial since traveling may sometimes be an uptight journey, and with one that keeps composed this might help in huge ways.
The second is supportive. A very good example would be how David supported my hobby in photography; he always told me to take pictures of our moments together, or he takes them for me and adds meaning to every trip.
Besides this, good communication and a sense of humor are important. Being able to speak openly and laugh together really helps in forming a strong bond and making the travel experience quite enjoyable. Lastly, flexibility is very important: plans can change, and having a travel companion who can adapt and still have fun is invaluable.
After all, David is the best companion one can dream of on a journey. His patience, encouragement, and energy add golden moments to our journeys. The last trip to his village for the cassava harvest is still remembered, eating well, and enjoying ourself in the stream. It reminded me how great a companion makes the trip special and precious. I have a lot of travels ahead while David is by
my side.
