The joy of a surprise

It was a joyous beautiful Saturday morning, and I was excited because I am about to surprise my cousin. I was going to surprise my cousin, David, with a new MP3 player. David loved music so much more than anything else. He always borrowed my old MP3 player, to listen to his favorite songs by the best artist of his likes, with a very big smile on his face. I knew he would be happy and joyous to have his own mp3 player.

The surprise (BOOMBEST mp3 player)

I had saved up for months to buy the MP3 player for him. It was shiny black and loaded with all his favorite songs. It is the latest mp3 player called BOOMBEST. I couldn't wait to see his reaction. I wrapped it up in bag and Head off to their house house.

When I arrived, David was about to go out with my uncle which is his dad. I greeted my uncle while I went inside the house to meet David. "Hey! What are you doing here?" he asked, while smiling. "I have a surprise for you," I said, holding out the gift to him.

David's eyes lit up with curiosity. He quickly tore off the bag and gasped when he saw the MP3 player. "No way! Is this for me?" he exclaimed, his face beaming with joy and happiness. "Yes, it's all yours," I replied, feeling just as happy as he looked.

David hugged me tightly. "Thank you so much! This is the best gift ever!" he said, his voice full of excitement and joy.

He immediately turned it on and started scrolling through the songs. "You even put my favorite songs on here!" he said, his eyes wide with amazement. He told his dad, that I have surprised him with a new mp3 player and he is no more going out with him again. He was so happy and wanted to spend the rest of the day with me. My uncle laughed and went out.

We spent the rest of the day listening to music together. David couldn't stop smiling and singing along to the tunes. Seeing him so happy made all my effort worth it. It was a simple gift, but it brought so much joy to both of us. He asked me to give him a shoot so that he can use it in remembering how joyous he was.

From that day on, David carried his MP3 player everywhere. He would often tell me how much he loved it and how grateful he was. It was a small gesture, but it created a big, happy memory for both of us.

A few weeks later, David invited me over to his house again. This time, he had a surprise for me. He had made a playlist of songs just for me. It was his way of saying thank you. We sat together, listening to the playlist, and I realized that the joy of giving was just as wonderful as the joy of receiving.
