Christmas Wishes
โFor God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal lifeโ โ John 3:16
Every year on 24th December (Christmas Eve), we celebrate Holy Mass in the church at midnight and then wish each other Merry Christmas at 00:00 a.m. This time the 24th was a weekday; hence, after office, I had to reach home and then get dressed to go to church.

Crib Decorations
Here in Ahmedabad, Christmas is not much hyped up, but we have various churches where the Catholic community is very active. Some very popular traditions of Christmas include singing Christmas carols, decorating the house, decorating the Christmas tree, making the crib, hanging a star outside our home, and preparing various sweets and snacks. We celebrate Christmas in memory of the birth of Jesus Christ, who is the son of God. Another very popular and widely loved tradition is the existence of Santa Claus. Although it does not have a significant importance in the context of Christmas, it has gained large popularity. It is believed that on Christmas Eve, Santa Claus crawls through the chimneys and leaves behind gifts ๐ near the Christmas tree for all the kids. He keeps a list of the naughty kids, and those kids shall not receive presents.

Church Scenes
As the popular Christmas song goes, โYou better watch out! You better not pout. You better not cry. Iโm telling you why: Santa Claus is coming to town. As a kid, even I and my brother would write letters to Santa Claus and tell him what gifts we would want. As we grew older we started becoming aware that it was nobody else but our parents who would quietly leave gifts by our pillow in the night ๐ ๐ โบ๏ธ. This season brings a lot of joy and happiness for the young and the old, and we welcome Baby Jesus into our lives with much love.

Beautifully decorated church
As my parents are not in town, my friend and I decided we would go for the midnight mass together. So after I reached home from the office, I had my dinner and then quickly started getting ready to leave. We soon then reached the church. It was so crowded that we had to look for a place to sit. We then attended the mass and paid our respects to the Lord. After mass we had some cake and coffee.

Cake and Coffee
I wished all my near and dear ones a Merry Christmas and exchanged kisses. I also wished my parents and my brother, who were not in town, well. As we were leaving from church, it was already around 1:30 a.m., so we then went to our homes, clicked some pictures, and fell off to sleep.
