HWC Contest #40|| POWERUP & WIN WEEK 31 by @gduran 12.5 SP

This is what my wallet looked like when I opened it earlier this afternoon. Amazingly there was enough in it to power up and be able to participate in the contest. This way not only do I get to make my account slightly bigger but also get people to see I am working at it.

After redeeming the small amount of Steem I had pending all that was left was to power up my Steem. This is very straightforward, especially as I had no SBD to exchange.

Now I just have to press the Power Up option, have my Steemit active password ready and proceed with my power up.

I just give it sign in, and voila, I have powered up the desired amount.

There you have the whole process, seems if I had waited a minute I would have powered up an additional 0.004 Steem. Well why would I want to power up my Steem. First of all I have a goal of reaching 500 SP by the end of February which I won't meet unfortunately. But I still have my account growing. When I power up my vote is worth that little more, so when I vote on a post I give that little extra. Granted it is nearly negligible but lt is there. And most importantly why would I hold my Steem in my Steemit wallet in liquid form doing nothing? At least if it is powered up I gain a little and I give a little via curation, I see no downside in that.

Also I do like seeing growth, even if that growth is hardly quantifiable, but even that little bit lets me know my time is giving some fruits, and that, to me, is what this is all about, seeing your "work" actually work. So I hope to see a lot of people powering up for this contest.
