We are all happy and ready to cross into a new year, the year moves so fast now, it just looks like we came into 2023 like 4 months ago, but it's just 2 days left to cross over to a new year.
This is really a thoughtful contest brought by @aviral123, it gives us the medium to share with friends and users how we plan to welcome the new year. I already have plans for this coming year, and I can't wait to see it happen and see these goals of mine come to pass.
Preparations I have made to welcome the new year |

I haven't made so much preparations, but on the 31st night which crosses oer to the new year, we do go to church, since my family's religion is christianity. We all go to church together, sing hymns and praises and pray, we wish friend's and love one's a happy new year immediately we cross to the next year, you will see the happiness in everyone's face as they're very happy to see a new year.
On the first day of the year, it is a joyous day for us all. We always cook different kinds of dishes and get drinks. We eat and merry, share them among friends and neighbors. We invite our friends too, to join us in the merriment of a new year. I really think this new years preparation won't be different because we will also cook and share them with neighbors and friends.

This year seems to hold much plans and promises for us, I have made plans already for the upcoming year. Ranging from school to steemit, I would love to make a little highlight of my plans in the coming year.
Education: My first semester's examination is already on its way, it is just two weeks after we cross to the new year, so that means much preparations from me. I have already made plans to succeed greatly in my academic pursuit, even with the obstacles on the path I still want to come out greatly.
Steemit: I really want to go far in steemit, so I made plans to reach the top of my journey this year. With all seriousness would love to accumulate a huge amount of steem power, and also be consistent in my journey in steemit. I have always had in mind of helping steemians and also communities to grow, so one of my plans next year is to become a moderator and help others grow too as I also grow.

We are all happy to see a new year, and we are already getting excited because it's just 3 days to go before we get in to the new year. I am really excited to get into this new year with friends and family, it is a thing of joy to cross in with friends. I am very excited to welcome the new year.

In this year, I made certain mistakes which I hope I will not repeat again in the coming year. It looked like I wasted my time more on social media without gaining anything of value. If I converted such time into steemit I would have really gone a long way by now. This is a very serious mistake I would not love to make next year. Even though I will still go on with these social media, which is very important to get updated, I will also spend much time too on steemit and engage with others.
