Steemit Engagement Challenge S19W3 - "Money or Peace?"

in hive-179660 •  last month

In principle, human needs are unlimited, but the tools/media to fulfil these needs limit human needs. If we look at the hierarchy of human needs according to Abraham Maslow, physiological needs are the top priority for living things to maintain the life process, then followed by the need for a sense of security.

It is undeniable that one important aspect in fulfilling peace can be obtained through finances, but each individual has varying levels, I think the need for peace that I need is different from others.

Here I see that obtaining peace requires a positive mindset to accept the current situation, and then try to improve it to be better in the future. I am not saying that accepting existing conditions is a form of giving in to circumstances, but it is a medium for self-introspection to be better by measuring every weakness that exists.

However, in fact, I realize that to make some money, I and even you often ignore the aspect of peace, for example getting pressure as a worker, workload beyond responsibility, leaving responsibility as a leader in a family in obtaining some money.

In fact, the fulfilment of needs through expected finances is not included in the category of primary or secondary needs. Well, I think educating yourself by grouping priority needs is important to balance between "Money or Peace"

Regarding the priority between shopping and finance, I see that this choice is oriented towards needs, meaning that when it becomes a primary need, it is ironic when you have to save, and then fulfil the needs that are needed.

However, on the other hand, the policy of saving in fulfilling needs is very effective, for example, if you want to buy a dream car by saving, it would be more appropriate if you had to buy it on credit. This is just my view, but everyone will have a different view when referring to the need for self-actualization.

For me, money is just a means to achieve happiness, but money does not play an important role in achieving happiness. I can illustrate a factual incident that happened to me some time ago, with the financial ease that I have, it turns out that it does not play much of a role in the desired happiness.

Every day I just work and work to keep collecting as much money as possible, but I realize that this is a false process and journey, not getting happiness, and interaction with the environment is lost, even though I just became a full-time worker by ignoring the health aspect.

I realised that happiness cannot be exchanged for money, so I decided to resign and work normally, live side by side in the social environment and find the true meaning of happiness through social interaction, living side by side with parents and enjoying everything with gratitude for the achievements that I have.

Undoubtedly, the utmost needs of humans are material things and it's only a few times experienced shortage of other important things like sound health before we realize there are actually more better entities.

Many lost their families and peace for the rest of their life because of money. I believe striking a balance between money and peace would go a long way to making one live a fulfilled life.

I can hear you, everyone is different and has a different knee in his life. In fact we can't compare everyone with everyone but the truth is that at least 60 to 70 percent of people in this world are suffering from poverty and they are bound to work hard. Their peace of mind is in their earning. If they stop working they will lose their peace of mind.

So yeah he defends one person to person. but that people having enough money should stop, think, and act accordingly. my best wishes to you for this contest

You have rightly said that one aspect of achieving peace is money because it is the survival of our basic needs and we can use it as needed. You can save for your old age, this is a fact that the world should face every reality and for your old age, you should carry something mandatory to pass peacefully.

Salam respected @irawandedy!

You make a really good point when you say that having money is not the only way to be happy. It is amazing how you linked self- examination and relationships to real joy. In your opinion what is the best way to maintain a balance between one financial responsibilities and maintaining deep relations? Your own story to attain satisfaction outside of work is truly inspiring.
