Almost everything that science and technology brought has a massive advantage in our life as humans. The importance of technology can not be overemphasized, as it is vital to almost all individuals, companies, government, ministries, and organizations. One of the most important thing in human life is INFORMATION. and it is said that information is power.
Without information, we do be more like deaf and dump. We can not have any knowledge about the happenings in our environment and we can not grow. In essence, information is what defines and determines of our decisions and growth.
Social media has made information more easier to access. It always enlighten us on the things happening around us and it has also made it possible for us to relate with people around easily. To companies and other organisations, social media has become a platform for advertisement. Also through the social media, the get feedback from their customers. In summary, social media is important because it has given us the platform to make friends around the world, learn from each other, advertise goods, and get access to informations. More to that, it has taken millions of people out of poverty because people especially content creators and influencers are using it as a source of income.
In as much as social media is important, it has brought a lot of damages to the society. It is a pity that people from different backgrounds and cultures have access to post all sorts of things on social media platforms. As a result, people especially children have access to these things and in return, they get to learn things that affect the way of their society.
A lot of people have diverted from the norm of the society due to the influence of the things they see on social media. Our ways of dressing has been affected, respect for people especially elders has been destroyed, pornography has become a norms among people, and many more. Social media has actually destroyed our society. More to that, cyber crime has become something to learn among the youth. Our goods and services are not longer secured because we have scammers who are there to steal them away from us. Through social media, people are being bullied, scammed, disrespected, and Dishonored. Social media has actually thought us a lot of negativities.
As mentioned earlier, social media is not only useful to corporate companies or common people. Rather, it is useful to both the government, common people, and also the cooperate companies. Common people get informations, make friends, chat, and also share information with other people. While corporate companies take advantage of social media to advertise their goods and services. Through social media, they also get feedbacks from their customers. In essence, social media is important to all.
I'm now in a state of confusion. Should i go against and condemn social networks? It won't be fair because it gives us information and it has become a source of income to many individuals and also some companies. But the basic thing I love about social media is the information it gives us access to. Remember, information is power.
Looking at it from the other angle, the same, social media has destroyed our society and we are now in a messy situation. People has taken a pattern of life that's not of the society. The youth has become cyber criminals, children watching negative and destructive contents, people adopting bad method of dressing and many more.
Looking at both the advantages and disadvantages of social media, it is hard to take a side. Nevertheless, we all know that social media was not made to destroy the society. Rather it was for the betterment of our life. The problem is, people take advantage and misuse things in a wrong way. People have actually abused social media by doing and learning things that are negative. As such, I can only encourage that we should divert from misusing social networks and start using it rightly. I do always encourage parents to watch over the activities of their children on social media.

Technology and advances along with social networks have had an impact on us in terms of what we learn, the communication we can have with other people from a distance, jobs that must not only be in person but through the networks that generate things for us. . positive for our environment.

Has tocado un punto muy importante y es que las redes sociale nos han traído un mundo de oportunidades y beneficios muy bueno para la sociedad. Sin embargo también son muy de mucha influencia las en las personas, sobre todo en niños y jóvenes que cambian sus formas de ver la vida y hasta dejan de un lado sus valores por dejarse llevar por lo aue ven en redes sociales.
Por eso es importante sobre todo con los niños y jóvenes educarlos en relación a las redes y la supervisión.
