Hello Beautiful People!

Today when I was writing my entry for this contest organized by Hindwhale Community about how our country's democracy functioning it makes me think about our country condition and how we are living here. So, let's talk about how is democracy functioning in our country Pakistan.

How is democracy functioning in your country?

The answer to this question is very complicated for me because I live in Pakistan and many things are different here than other countries. The politics in Pakistan is quite different and people living in this country have very different opinions about democracy, but to sum it in a single word, I would say yes, the democracy is functioning somewhere in the middle so it’s not entirely good or entirely bad because there is democracy in Pakistan. There is an elected prime minister that is an elected body and yes there is a parliament which is taking many of the important decisions.

Many people won’t agree with me that democracy functions, but yet they don’t understand that certain parties have certain agendas and they have their own opinion on different things so you cannot mix that up with democracy. Democracy is when there is an elected government by the people and it is there in Pakistan.

So you can’t say that there is no democracy now if they’re being forced by someone else to do certain things. That is a different thing in itself, so in Pakistan, democracy is somewhere in between good and bad. Decisions are not entirely taken by the Government and yet there are some decisions which are completely taken by the government or the elected body, I would say.

Is your country free from any domination ruled?

Pakistan, there has been many times when there were no democracy and there were dictatorship, or I would say the Army role in the past like there has been three times when elected prime minister was thrown off the rule by an army general in the past, but we talk about the current situation there is involvement of many people and in this case we will call it.

Establishment establishment environment is two different things and I will say is it I said in my first question yes there is involvement of some people in the government there has been speculation from the media, and as you know from the people that there are some people controlling the Vermont now I have no clue about that is it I don’t have any proof of that, but as for my research, many article says that there has been some forces deciding the future of democracy.

Is your country self-sufficient in food production?

Pakistan is a huge country and there have been many farms for every kind of food. If you talk about vegetables or fruits. Everything is available in Pakistan, but yet it depends on the consumption. Far as I know Pakistan doesn’t import many things in huge quantities but yet when we need it you do import food, but the basic necessity is fulfilled by Pakistan on its own because Pakistan has water and a very huge amount of land.

And the farmers are producing very nice amount of food to fulfil the demands of the people, but I won’t say that we are completely sufficient to fulfil the demands so Pakistan does import some of the food from other countries such as Europe, Russia, India, and in other countries.

How is youth employment in your country?

And employment is a huge issue in my country, so we have to understand how employment works so when a company sets up it’s planned for some sort of office they need people to run it and that is how jobs are being generated for every person. The job requirements change if a person has a good degree in a field.

His job requirements are different now on the other hand. If there is a person who has no degree, his job requirement is different in Pakistan, the industrialisation is in its law and that’s why the new job generation is almost 0 because there is no industry because there is no demand for anything yet. Pakistan is not exporting. Many things with the population of Pakistan are not industrialising many of the sectors to produce jobs.

The unemployment rate has grown to 30%, as per my knowledge which is very bad for the country, and that’s why many of the people are leaving the country in search of a good job opportunity so to sum of the answer I would say the employment is really bad and Pakistan and the condition is getting worse day by day because of the political instability.

What do you want your country to be like?

And there are many things that I would like to see that Pakistan should focus on its political parties and the politicians should come together and stabilise the state first, and then think about other things because the one thing which is killing Pakistan is the political instability and because of the political instability no one is investing in Pakistan, and that is how Pakistan is getting destroyed by its own politicians.

Pakistan should take some lessons from Singapore and China. They have evolved in a very short time. China has evolved from nothing to the world's biggest economy in just 30 years and we should take some examples from Singapore. They have implemented good rules and they have stabilised the country in a very short amount of time, and now is one of the biggest business hubs in the world.

Pakistan should focus on generating new jobs for the youth because many of the people are leaving the country which is not good for Pakistan because a brain drain is happening. There will be a time when there will be jobs in Pakistan, but no one will be there to get their job because no one will be educated enough, because all the people who have the brain are leaving the country and if this continues Pakistan will have to face the problem of manpower.

In my opinion, Pakistan surely better the relationship with its neighbouring countries like India because we can benefit from each other. If we have good relations with our neighbours India we can get many opportunities like jobs. We can import many food items from India because India is one of the biggest producers of many things. We won’t have to pay many taxes on cars because India is its own car company, and we don’t have to pay taxes to the other countries, and import duties Pakistan, should make its relationship better with India.

That was my opinion on the above questions.

I would like to invite my friends @jyotithelight@shohana1 and @malikusman1 to participate in the contest.

Hello friend greetings to you.

Without hesitation I can called democracy in a Pakistan a titular one. I don't believe the democratic system here. Everything is in the control of establishment. Plus great part of Pakistan's life has been ruled by them. They ruled Pakistan for almost 40 years. Sorry to say dear, But Pakistan ka Khuda Hafiz.

However we shouldn't lose hope and we should hope for the best.

I really enjoy reading your post. Best wishes for the contest.
