"Pick a Word, Paint a Story #10"

Hello everyone, just a warm and cordial greetings to my fellow amiable steemians from @john247, it's a pleasure to have you in my blog which i will be taking part in this amazing weekly contest; “PICK A WORD, PAINT A STORY #10" special thanks to the organizer @senehasa. Out of the three words stated in the contest link. i will pick the word Fire

We were all sitting down that day under a tree with friends having some discussion altogether when i heard my name from far within and the voice sounds familiar like my sister's then we all paused for a while to hear it clear again when i heard the call the second time i was not wrong in my first taught that it was my sister's voice, i answered her to let her know where i was, that was when she approached me and whispered to eat that my dad is back from where he went to earlier and he's calling me, when i heard this i grumble for a while before leaving the gathering with my friends to answer his call.

When i got home he told me that those grasses that some labourers cleared few days ago must have dried up by now and it better we burn it on time to avoid rain falling on it, so he suggested that later in the evening both of will go and gather the grasses together in one spot and burn it, i was some how not okay with his suggestion because i was having plans of going to the field and play football that same evening which i know we won't come back from the farm on time.So i managed to convince my dad that instead of us to go there together that will later cause him stress let me go alone or better still i will invite some of my friends to go with me to make the work easier, which he later agreed, after some time towards 2:00pm in the afternoon when the sun was still high one of my friend follow me to go and burn the grasses so that we can together meet up with the football in the evening and my dad was not aware that we have left for the farm.

When i and my friend got to the farm we started by using sticks to gather the grasses in different spot and begin to light it up with fire, everything was just in a haste to finish up fast and go home as so doing i became pressed that i can't bear it any longer that was when i decided to use the nearby bush there as toilet when i asked my friend to watch over the fire forgetting he is allergic to it, some minutes later when i was still in the bush my friend started shouting and calling my name that i should be fast that the fire is becoming uncontrollable for him because of the wind that is blowing it to different directions, so i hurried up just as he said to join him and behold when i got there the worst has happened that the fire has almost crossed to the other farm closed to ours.

That moment i was very much confused and anxious because i don't know where and how to start from, the worst part is that my friend that was supposed to be a helping hand is allergic to wide fire that was when i begin to panic and several taught like what will i tell my dad and the owner of the farm, immediately i summoned courage and faced my fears by attacking the fire with some palm branches and fresh leaves which later help to stop the fire from entering the next farm that was when i gained my self back because i was already lost in taught before then but thank God everything ended where it started and i was lucky the fire didn't cause too much damage at last.
