What you did do to make this platform popular
What I cannot stop doing is promoting the Steemit platform because I want everyone to know about Steemit, I want Steemit to become a popular platform. I have done so many things such as promoting the Steemit platform on social media, and offline and engaging myself in recruiting people to the Steemit platform.
I did promotion and recruitment to make the Steemit platform popular. In my community whenever I want to out and publicize the Steemit platform I usually put on my Steemit t-shirt with some designed tickers in my bag to let people know about the Steemit platform.

My recruitment of people into the Steemit platform has made the Steemit platform so popular in my community as the people whom I have recruited, have also recruited people who also have recruited others.
In conclusion, the strategies that I have used to make this platform popular are hosting seminars, hangouts, recruiting and mentoring people about Steemit, distributing the Steemit logo and banners to people, and advertising Steemit both online and offline.
Major hurdles face during marketing. If any?
The major hurdle during marketing is finance. Finance to get promotional items, materials, and snacks that will be shared with people or money that will be used to design banners, flyers, t-shirts, and other promotional materials are usually expensive.
Another major huddle that I face during marketing is talking to people about the Steemit platform. There are some people who the moment you mention the online platform will immediately label you a scammer (fraudster) I faced several criticisms from people whom I met face to face telling them about the Steemit platform.
