Greetings to you, my beloved esteemed Steemians. I trust you are doing very fine and having a nice time with yourself and your loved ones. Today I am here to share with you the power-up I did today regarding the contest organized by @jyoti-thelight.
The amount of steem in your wallet must be used to perform a power-up. |

I am in Club 5050, which means anytime I want to withdraw steem from my wallet, I need to power up 50% of the amount of steem that I want to transfer out. To this end, today I made a power-up of 49 Steem.
Before powering up 49 Steem, I had 96.824 Steem and 17,563.608 Steem Power in my wallet, which is shown in the screenshot image shared above.

The process of performing power-ups on the Steemit platform is very unique, and the same steps are taken by every user. The description below shows the steps that I use to power up.
Step1: I logged in to my wallet and claimed all my available rewards.
Step2: After I had claimed my rewards, I clicked on STEEM, and a drop-down tab was shown to me.
Step 3: On the drop-down tab, I clicked on Power Up.
Step 4: I entered the amount of Steem (49 STEEM) before I clicked on Powerup.

As you can see from the screenshot above, my Steem Power increased to 17,612.609 Steem Power.

We need to keep on performing power-ups, as it is the easiest way we can grow our Steem power, which gives us more voting power and leads to more curation rewards.
Also, Steem Power does not just give us influence over post payouts; it is a mechanism that helps us earn more Steem Power and TRX when we upvotes other people's posts.
Finally, this power-up brings more trust to us, and it increases our influence and chance of supporting those who contribute to the platform. With power up, a user can easily celebrate dolphins. Power-ups also help increase the value of steem.
