A lot of us do tell our loved ones who just returned from a journey "Welcome Home". It is a word that can be viewed from different perspectives depending on the context of the discussion. Home can be viewed as a physical place, emotional, or can be viewed as an abstract concept which we are going to view one after another in this post.

Physical Place:

Every one of us here has a home where to spend the nights. This simply means a home is a place where we live, such as a dwelling place, apartment, or house. Home is a place where shelter and a sense of security are provided for one to be comfortable.

A brief story behind a home was a story of Johnson. Once upon a time, Johnson had to run from school to have comfort at his home. Johnson was sent to a boarding school when he was around 12 years during his first week of staying in the school hostel he felt discomfort and maltreated and ran out of the school to have comfort at home. Reaching home he swears never to return to the boarding school again because of how he feels secure in his home he then says there truly is no place like home.

Emotional Meaning

I can decide to travel to another state or country today and feel loved and comfortable in the place. By so doing home, can be viewed as a representation of a place of comfort, love, and belonging. It is a place where someone feels accepted, safe, and has peace, which is often tied with lovely cherished memories or family.

A short story about. During my youth service, I felt comfort, belonging, and love in the place I served and I never wanted to leave the place because of how I was well-treated by the people in the community. Had it been I was maltreated I would have run away from the community the same way Johnson ran out of school, but I didn't because I was accepted in the community. This simply tells us that home can be a place where one is accepted to stay.

Abstract Concept:

Have you ever felt connected in your vicinity or that of another person? If you have then know that it is where your heart is which is why a lot of people say "Home is where the heart is" since it symbolizes a state of mind or a feeling of connection. Even though I left the place where I served for a long I still feel connected with the people in the community which simply implies that any day I find myself in the community I will be welcome and be treated as their person.
