My topic is "Regret"

Abir is sitting alone in the dark of night. The smoke from his cigarette is gradually disappearing into the atmosphere. His eyes are filled with regret, as though the burden of his previous errors were choking him.

Abir was a cheerful, lively young man a few years ago. He had family, friends, dreams - everything. But pride and wrong decisions gradually pushed him away from everyone.

While studying in university, he mixed with friends and entered the world of drugs. At first it was a small habit, later it turned into an addiction. Parents' prohibitions, friends' advice - nothing reached his ears. Because of his pride, he pushed everyone away.

One day, his father fell ill. While trying to raise money for his hospitalization, Abir learned that his family had no money left. Because he had gradually used up all the family savings to pay for his addiction.

But when he realized, it was too late. His father tried to smile at him for the last time, and with tears in his eyes, he just said, "Do you understand, father?"

His father's death threw Abir's life into chaos. His mother turned away, his relatives started avoiding him. His friends - who used to get drunk with him - were nowhere to be found.

Today, Abir only sighs looking back at those old days. Once time passes, it never comes back. Now he is only suffering the punishment of his own mistakes. But, is it really over?

Abir decided that he would start anew. He would try to change himself by using his father's memory as strength. Because regret carries real meaning only when it causes change, not an end, but a new beginning.

Sort Order:

the tragic impact of regret and the consequences of past mistakes. Abir lost his father, his family, and even his former friends, but all that was left was loneliness and guilt.

However, the final question "Is it really over?" opens up another possibility. Although Abir has lost so much, his life is not over. Maybe this is his turning point—a chance to redeem himself, rebuild his life, or at least find new meaning in the pain he has experienced.

My topics are box, sand, and forest, but you have written about regrets. Sometimes you may wrongly understand the word sand as sad.
Any way, thank you for participating; next time clearly understand the word.
