Steemit Engagement Challenge S6W6, What Will You Do To Celebrate The New Year In 2023/ And How Do You Typically Do That Each Year?.

Greetings to you all happy to write today in this wonderful @hindwhale community, its a previllage i must tell you in all ramification. just as we know this period is a festive period and we must celebrate it all the way.

Today is 29th December 2022, we have pretty much little time before we enter the year 2023, which is indeed is going to be remarkable to all nigerian's as a country.

Reason being that we are going to be selecting new leader's that will man the affairs of the country for the next four or eight year's as stipulated by law.

So is going to be crutial to nigerians at large, i have read and understood the content of the contest at large, it has to deal with what you need to do in order to have effective celebration in 2023.

Remarkable stuff indeed, this contest is a wonderful one, the topic came at the appropriate time, I must tell you, what we typically do each year is Epic and as i proceed it will be stated here.

Routines And Ritual's Followed During New Year Celebration's.

When we talk about routines we are generally talking about various action's and in-actions regularly followed consistently, just as you reading will realize I'm from River's state.

River's state if you conduct your research you will understand that we have various ethnic groups, with different languages, secondly we got rich and quality culture's.

When it comes to routines we have specific way at which that is basically achieved in my locality, from 30th december you get to find out that so many person's will travel back to the village.

On 31st we have cross-over night at various churches across the community, everyone usually attends after that when we come back we stay, play music, kill goat, eat goat meat pepper soup, etc.

Cross over night is a routine within my vescinity, in my area here its very mandatory and trust me the routine is massive and increadible.

Its more like a ritual Performed every new year, its crutial courtesy the fact that it makes you enfold yourself with God as to the new challenges that will pop up in the upcoming new year.

Cultural Activities Organised.

Cultural activities are usually done in my place every festive season, its our tradition I must tell you for a fact, from 1st January 2023 till sometimes around February 2033, there will be various cultural activities.

This cultural activities usually comprises of various communities around my locality and it involves various people dancing round the community with various masquerade, watch some pictures below.

Looking at the image below you see various person's walking with the masquerade, this is basically how its been done, it usually starts around 4pm, and people will go round the community till they close around 7pm.

Just as they say our tradition is our pride and everyone usually respects it, thankGod for steemit platform so many person's here will have to watch and see pictures of various tradition's.

Food Served During Celebration.

During the new year celebrations rice and chicken, not rice and beans are the most common food served during new year across some parts of the country.

In my village the case isn't different, my mummy usually give us rice, but i normally organise some good recipe for myself, take a look at some pictures below.

Mummy usually serve rice, but on festive period i usually eat lots of rice, so i usually eat the meal seen above and i skip eating rice.

Every new year i usually take out time to eat the above prepared meal, trust me is usually beautiful and sweet eating this.

Some of you reading this post might be wondering, how and where I learnt how to prepare the above recipe.

I'm somebody who have lived alone on several occasions, so I'm very conspicuous about the thing's I eat, so i cook for myself, many thanks to my mum for teaching me thing's that I deserved to know.

Decorations For The New Year.

In my village there isn't any specific decorations we usually do here to be frank with you, i won't come here and tell you lies, all we do is to repaint some certain portion of the house and that's it.

Although when you step out you find out various forms of new year decorations, where various people stays to snap some pictures.

In my own household and neighbourhood there isn't any specific decorations, it's really amazing how things works in the village.

In general what i will do to celebrate new year is very simple, i will have the best of time, with friends and family, i will go out and flex all round.

I will take my family and friends out on a date, we will drink, not smoke, but have some fun, and spend some quality time together, as we will enter new year with great expectation.

Conclusion.

• Doing different things in different time is key, this is new year approaching, we must be very careful so we can maximize quality time out with friends and family.

• 2023 promises to be great and all round we expect great thing's to happen, miracle's will happen in this wonderful upcoming year, and trust me Alot will be achieved.
