Today, I publish my participation in the competition organized by Hind Whale Community which revolves around one of the most beautiful childhood memories, these are the popular games that we inherited from our parents and that we memorize by heart. There were no mobile phones or tablets that strained our eyes or our minds, but games that strengthened our minds and muscles and stimulated blood circulation in our veins. I wish you a good read.

A game of hide and seek

Perhaps it is one of the games that are still popular among children to this day, and this game depends on one of the players closing his eyes, and starting to count until a number agreed upon between the players, and at this time the rest of the players rush to hide in places where it is difficult to discover them, and when the count is over The player will open his eyes and start looking for his teammates and finding them, so that one of them will take his place with eyes closed.

In this game, the player takes advantage of damaged car tires by rolling them between alleys and catching up with them. They also use circular iron wires inside the tires after burning them in order to make a rolling game. The player uses a metal stick about a meter long to push the wheel and control its movement during Roll it over, and the metal stick should be folded at the end.

We draw a circle on the ground and the child who is going to run behind us stands inside, we choose him by lot, his eyes are closed, then he counts to the number ten or more and when he has finished counting he says open the lemon and run behind us to put his hand on our head, and if his hand comes to the head of one of us It was his turn to count to run after us, and whoever gets hurry into the circle we've drawn on the ground is a winner and he's safe.

Hi-low game :

The children stand next to each other in the form of one line, and a child stands in front of them, then counts to eleven, starts after himself, then counts the rest of the children, saying: My uncle Abu Eleven... He told me to count to eleven, so he counts and he is number one, and counts the other children until The number reaches eleven, so whoever counts at eleven is the one who will run after the children; Where the child must stand on something high such as a stone or anything high off the ground, and if he stood on the ground and was caught by the child who was assigned the task of catching them, he will be out of the game until the last child remains and he is the winner, and we used to sing while we were running and standing high or On the ground with a loud song, watts, watts, bouncing on chairs, oh my head, until we provoke the child who is trying to catch us while we are laughing and very happy.

The Ogre game:

One of the girls volunteers to be the ogre lady, or we count to eleven as in the previous game, and whoever is the last one in the count is the ogre lady. The ogre sits and we make a circle around it, where we hold hands and circle around it while we sing:

• Mrs. Ogre Mrs. Ogre What are you doing?
• The Orge lady replies, "I clean my house," and makes house-cleaning movements with her hands
• Then we bring back Mrs. Orge, Mrs. Orge, what are you doing?
  The ghoul replies and says, "Stop the dishes," and makes the movement of washing the dishes

And so on, until the ogre says loudly, I want to eat you, then we scream in fear and it runs after us until it catches us one by one, and the last one is the winner.

We draw on the ground a large rectangle consisting of six squares, and in the penultimate square we draw an X, then we prepare a smooth stone with flat surfaces called a rump, and we make a partridge on our feet, that is, we raise a leg and put a leg on the ground and roll the rump with it.

From the rules of the game:

That our raised feet do not set foot on the ground.
The rump should not stand on a line of squares or rectangles.
We have the right to rest in the square before the X square.
Then we roll the rump so it doesn't stand in the X-square. And you pass it to the last square, and when we complete this stage, we put a mark in the first square, then we repeat the game again for the same girl. Another girl. But if the buttock comes in the X square or on one of the lines, it comes out and it is the turn for another girl.

Ruler executioner game:

The game requires four people, and four papers of the same size are cut out. On the first paper, we write the word ruler, the second paper is an executioner, the third is an inspector, and the fourth is a thief. Then we fold the papers well, then a person takes them, moves them with his hands well, then throws them on the ground, and each of the four takes a paper, and whoever takes the paper of the ruler says: I am the ruler, where is the inspector?
The inspector says: Yes sir, I am the inspector.
The ruler says: Bring out a thief for me?
The inspector chooses one person from among the two persons and says, “This is the thief.” If he is really the thief, the judge says: “I sentence him to a light beating, for example, three times.” The executioner hits him with a light stick or the like. And if he is not the thief, the judge rules to beat the inspector because he made a mistake, and the executioner beats him.

Toot Toot (berries berries in arabic) game:

We line up behind each other in the form of a train, holding each other's shoulders, and the first person on the train, who is the driver, sings, saying: Toot, Toot.
where are they going We respond: On Beirut
The driver says: What do you want? We respond to it: a plate of Toot(berries).
And so we repeat and repeat, and the driver leans right and left, leaning with him, and when he stops, we stand with him, and we are happy and laughing.

And many, many fun and beautiful childhood games that accustom the child to participation, love and social bonding. And it would be better if we encouraged our children to practice it, as it is much better than phone and tablet games that harm them in the short and long term, and many studies have proven the extent of their bad impact on children, and among the activities that we used to practice in childhood is drawing, whether On sand or on paper, and also reading comics, which are very useful for children. Our mothers were not disturbed by us when we were young. We used to make fun and joy without problems, and our immunity was strong and our memory was strong.
