Good day steemians!
Matheena's Moving up ceremony ended around 4:30 in the afternoon. Right after the ceremony, we then had our dinner at Greenwich. Then we go right away in one of the tourist spot here in Lapu-Lapu - the Mactan Shrine.
Long time ago, Mactan Shrine was known as Resting because most of the people who need some rest will go there. Before, resting has many grasses wherein you can lay down and relax.
Right now, after the new administration, it was renovated to concrete wherein it is best to go there during morning and in the evening. Yet, there is still a space wherein there are Bermuda grass and still you can relax on that part.
Since we bought a scooter for Matheena, we just practice how to use it. And Matheena really had a lot of fun. The ambiance as well is so good and we were just few in the area maybe because the people were so busy in tge said Moving up Ceremony. And only few prefer to go in the park after the ceremony. Because most of the people wanted to go to the restau and go home right away.
And we? We really had a lot of energy, because after eating we still had time to go and play at Mactan Shrine where the statue of Lapu-Lapu was built.
Lapu-Lapu is the first Filipino hero who fought the Spanish Envaders led by Magellan. The role play of Battle of Mactan is held here every April 27.

LAPULAPU! When I saw that, I knew it was the Philippines. And of course recognitions and moving up were a trend these past days because it was the season for it.
I like that told how it looked like in the past, embelished with green bermuda grass that surrounded the statue. It was probably a bliss to lay down and have picnics with your friends there. The feels!
I know infrasture has gone a long way of development in the Philippines but I hoped they have considered to be of a mutual co-existence with nature where in the coming more years, you would actually appreciated that it survived the test of time.
