Today, I will participate in a beautiful contest by @jyoti-thelight, the mom of the Hindwhale Community. The name of the contest is HWC contest #97: POWER UP & WIN-WEEK 62. I hope everyone likes my writing.

I have 233.590 Steem in my wallet to power up. I have also powered up 117 Steem from my wallet, and I have 13,317.232 Steem powered up in my wallet. Below is a screenshot of my wallet.

Step 01:

I first log in to my Steemit ID and then into my Wallet. I click on the right corner of the received Steem in my Wallet, as shown in the picture below.

Step 02:

Then, I click on the power-up option in the text box. This text box has a few more options. I will power up, so I click on the power up option. It is shown in the picture below.

Step 03:

Then I see a text box called Convert to Steem Power. In the Amount text box, enter 117.00 Steem and click the Power Up option. I have shown the process with screenshots below.

Step 04:

Then, I see a text box called Confirm Transfer to Vesting. I click the OK button without making any changes to this text box. Then, I completed the power-up using my password key. Below is the screenshot showing the process.

Importance of power-up:
Power-ups are very important. I am writing about their importance with a few examples. If I have strength in my body, I can walk ten kilometers. If my body is weak, I will walk two kilometers and become weak. Powering up on the Steemit platform will strengthen my ID. If my power-up is low, then my ID will be less strong.

We need to power up to reward good writers. If my Steem power is high, I can encourage the author by upvoting. If my Steem power is more upvoted, I also benefit myself. I also get some Steem power from upvoting. Users with more Steem power accumulate Steem in their wallets daily from their upvotes. So, if you want to get Steem from upvote, you have to power up more.

Upvoting increases Steem's power through power-ups and increases engagement with Steemian friends. Power-ups are very important for club status. Club membership is required to participate in our various contests. To get into the club, you must power up a certain way.
