In Pakistan cricket isn't just a game it's a way of life, a source of pride and a symbols of unity's that transcends all divides. It embodies the nation's spirit making it the mostly popular and cherished sport in the country.

Is that game played in international competitions like the Olympics or other world championships?

Cricket despite its immense popularity in countries like Pakistan India England Australia and others isn't a part of the Olympic Games. The reasons behind crickets absence from the Olympics and limiteds participations in certainly world championships are multifaceted.

Cricket's literal format, especially the longer versions like Test cricket that can last up to five days, poses scheduling challenges inharmonious with the compact Olympic timeline. However, the shorter formats of the game, similar as One- Day Internationals( ODIs) and Twenty20( T20) cricket, could potentially be adapted for Olympic participation due to their shorter duration.

Moreover, cricket's global governance, primarily through the International Cricket Council( ICC), has been necessary in promoting the sport internationally. While cricket does have prestigious tournaments like the ICC Cricket World Cup and ICC World Twenty20( T20 World Cup), these are standalone events organized by the ICC and not part of the Olympics.

Efforts have been made to include cricket in the Olympics, but colorful logistical, organizational, and political challenges have impeded progress. Nevertheless, cricket continues to thrive at the transnational level through ICC competitions and bilateral series, providing ample opportunities for nations to compete and showcase their cricketing prowess on the world stage.

However, Pakistan's public game is field hockey. Despite cricket's dominance in terms of popularity and following, hockey holds a special place in the nation's sports heritage.
