A warm greeting to everyone. Hope your day is going smoothly. I remain @mbetobongluke and am super excited to participate in this contest. Host by @jyoti-thelight my regards to her. Let me share with you how my food diary game went by

My day always starts in the kitchen because I love food 😅
In short the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.
Cooking is part of me and that's my daily lifestyle.
Cooking is also a form of creativity. Trying to figure out on what to cook and what to put to make the meal delicious.
When I imagined how am being treated at the restaurant. What I order vs what I get... I took it as part of my lifestyle to cook not just for me, but also to people around me.

It was seriously raining in the morning so I had to take my breakfast with hot tea.
I then proceeded to cook red oil rice. I use dry fish to make the rice more delicious and pleasant because I love healthy food.

Red oil rice has a lot of benefits

Red oil rice helps to Reduce the Risk of Heart Disease.

It also plays an important role in controlling Diabetes.

Additionally, red oil rice is low in fat content and high in protein and fibre. Therefore, it increases satiety, reduces overeating and may help in better metabolism.

In the afternoon, when the rain stopped, I went to the market to get some food stuff so I could prepare afang soup.
Coming back, I was already exhausted. Just imagining how women do this almost everyday. I must applaud them for this because they really tried.
I couldn't help than to dilute glucose with water and drink so I can regain my strength.
After some minutes, I started preparing the soup.
I start by preparing the meat so I can steam it. On steaming the meat, my gas cylinder finished. But fortunately for me, they was light. I brought out my electric stove, plug 🔌 it and continue with my preparation.
Afang leaf happens to be the most difficult tax. It will require you to grind or pound it before cooking as it has good fiber. The market woman assisted me to cut the leaves . My work was to pound it and makes it look as if I am about to make herbal concoction.
The process wasn't easy for me. I'm not scaring you from cooking afang soup oo😅
After a long journey of afang soup, it was then ready for eating.

Benefits of afang soup

Afang soup had enormous benefits which are;

It Improves eyesight and eye health. i. e vitamin A

Afang soup helps in the development of strong and healthy bones. ie they're rich in calcium and iron.

Afang soup improve insulin sensitivity and controlling blood sugar levels. I can attest to it.

After cooking all this things, I took some neurotic rest.
I then stroll around and have a moment with my friend.
Coming back, I spent an hour Plus on steemit community to check some interesting contest.

In the evening, I prepared bean 🫘
Nepa took the light and my gas cylinder finished in the morning so I had to used the local method to cook. Which requires the use of firewood. It quiet a long while I used firewood to cook. But today, I had to do it again since I didn't have an option.
I cook the beans separately with the white rice 🍚 I don't like mixing my beans with rice to cook.
After cooking, I then bath 🛁 🚿 and rest for the day.

Benefits of Bean

We all know that Protein is a vital nutrient that plays a key role in maintaining and repairing the body.

Beans contain a lot of health benefits some of which are; provide protein, fiber, iron, and antioxidants that can make them a healthful addition to the diet.

My day was full filled though I was stressed up.
