Assalamualaikum all of my friends. How are you all? I hope you all are well. I am also fine. Today I am here to present to you some of my happy moments from the day I visited my village fair. For the first time this fair has been held next to Khulna Cantonment Zoo for a month long and this fair has already created a stir among our Khulna residents. So I went to that place last 5th January night with my 2 sisters and elder sister's husband and now I am presenting to you the experience of visiting the fair.

Our village fair started at the end of December 2024 and I could not attend the fair due to my long stay in Dhaka. So quite some time ago I came from Dhaka to my home in Khulna and I decided to visit the fair with my two sisters. Then according to the decision, I went to the fair with my two sisters and elder sister's husband on 5th January 2025. To reach the fair from my house only two kilometers of road has to be crossed and in this case our auto rickshaw fare is only Bangladeshi 10 Taka or 0.28 Steem per person. Later in the evening I left for the fair with my sisters and reached there on time.

After reaching the village fair, we saw a large gathering of people there and could sense the expression of happiness on everyone's faces. Then we entered through the handsome gate of the fair. After entering through the gates of the fair, we found a traditional toy of village Bengal that we used to have fun with earlier. It is basically a plastic pipe with detergent powder mixed inside the pipe and the water is placed on the head of the pipe and blown, a thin layer of water rises to the top in the shape of round bubbles which looks very nice.

However, after entering the fair, I started feeling pretty good and I was looking at the colorful lights all around because it looked pretty good. The fair was being held in a large area and there were various forms of entertainment.

1000049582.jpg

Then I walked through the fair and reached the throngs of people and found various small shops along the footpaths which I liked much more. To tell the truth, the main reason I like it is to see many traditional shops and forms of entertainment in this village fair which are almost disappearing from our country over time. I was enjoying all these things from the crowd and visiting various shops.

After proceeding some distance we came across an empty space and it was a brick road located within the fair. The area around this road was a bit empty as there are no small shops located here. Although there are several shops on the opposite side of the road that we visited.

Walking forward along the empty brick road we see a small children's entertainment area made mainly of colorful fabrics. Here children climb up the stairs and sit on this colorful fabric. In this case the children quickly go down without any difficulty so that they get a lot of pleasure. But in this case Bangladeshi 30 Taka or 0.85 Steem per person is required to ride in this entertainment place for 20 minutes.

Although these entertainments can be found in almost every fair, I proceeded further from there and visited the small and large shops along the road which I found quite interesting.

1000049594.jpg

As I walked a little further I came across a paan shop where sweet paan was being made with spicy spices. Although I don't eat regular paan but still I like all the sweet paan in bazaar and mela. But I didn't buy paan from there and I stood for a while and watched the shopkeeper make paan.

After spending some time at the paan shop I again moved forward and browsed the various shops within the fair. Among them I find the very popular children's toy balloon. Some balloons are inflated with gas to fly towards any sky and some balloons are filled with ordinary air. All these balloons of different shapes looked pretty good and I stood there for a while watching the balloon vendors doing a good job of selling.

I walked further along a street to the left of the balloon shop where the flower shop sat. I see different kinds of flowers in the flower shop and there I see another man who is standing and selling flowers. He was selling ornaments made of different shapes of flowers which looked pretty good.

After wandering around the fair for quite some time, my elder sister asked me to take a boat ride. Boat here refers to a form of entertainment which is not water but seen in various village fairs which are propelled by engines. And those who ride it enjoy swinging like this.

1000049758.jpg

So I went to the boat here as told by my elder sister which was basically full of people. At first I refused to go on the boat because it scared me so much. Due to the excessive swaying, the people who walk in it sometimes panic. To be honest, it's a pretty scary experience for a normal person that I didn't want to have.

But seeing the interest of my two sisters I later agreed and went to the ticket counter there to collect tickets for the boat ride. Here the ticket price per person was Bangladeshi 50 Taka or 1.4 Steem.

1000049602.jpg1000049759.jpg

After collecting the tickets we waited for a while as the boat was boarded by other people. After some time the boat empties and we show our tickets and board the boat. After boarding the boat, my fear was reduced to a great extent because I had people I knew by my side. After a while the boat started rocking and I took my mobile and took a video of this blissful moment.

We stayed on the boat for about 10 minutes and then the boat stopped. After the boat stopped we got off the boat and I could see that my younger sister was already very scared. Then we gave him refuge and we wandered elsewhere.

1000049760.jpg

Then we walked and arrived in front of a small children's park. Basically one of the reasons why it is called a children's park is that here I saw a train that looked quite strange and the children were having a lot of fun riding it. Bangladeshi 50 Taka or 1.4 Steem is required per person to board this train. Although I wanted to ride this train, I refrained from riding it because the train line was circular because it gave me a headache.

Then we crossed the train line to the most interesting part of the park, the Circus Grounds. Basically the circus is seen inside the circus grounds and tickets are required for that. Entrance fee per person inside the circus ground Bangladeshi 100 Taka or 2.8 Steem. Adjacent to the circus grounds was the haunted house that was built to entertain people. Then we went to that ghost house and also went there and saw the entrance fee per person Bangladeshi 50 Taka or 1.4 Steem.

1000049761.jpg1000049601.jpg

Since we were only visiting the fair for a short time, we didn't go inside the circus or the haunted house as the fair is spread across quite a lot so we wanted to explore the whole place. After visiting two interesting places, we reached a handicraft shop where various handmade items were being sold.

1000049583.jpg

Next to the handicraft shop I came across traditional ice cream which was sold by hawkers in our area earlier. I like this ice cream there so much that I bought ice cream even in this severe winter. Here the price of an ice cream was Bangladeshi 10 Taka 0.28 Steem. At the same time I found another food that I like there and that is Jhurivaja. Then I bought a packet of Jhurivaja from there which cost Bangladeshi 10 Taka 0.28 Steem.

1000049763.jpg1000049764.jpg

After eating my favorite food, we wandered to the other side of the fair and there I saw winter clothes being sold in the fair. Then I asked the price of some clothes there and I realized that the price of clothes here is relatively high. But where I could see several clothing shops and there were different types of clothes being sold.

1000049766.jpg

Then my two sisters asked me to go to a shop behind the clothes shop and I went there with them and saw that there was a cosmetics shop. These shops are usually decorated with all the necessary items for girls and I also noticed a lot of people in these shops. Moreover, sales levels were high in all the stores as all the cosmetics products available here were being sold at cheap prices.

1000049767.jpg1000049615.jpg

Next to the cosmetics shop I saw some more shops and went there. Basically all the shops were small children's toy shops where I noticed a variety of toys. Moreover, all the plastic toys were priced at very low prices so that everyone who came to the fair with small children visited these shops and bought the products of their choice. Inside the chest I saw my sisters also bought some of the products they needed from the cosmetics shop.

1000049768.jpg

Meanwhile our fair tour is over and we have visited the entire fair which we like very much. To tell the truth, it is nice to see such an interesting fair next to the seat. Moreover, various cultural and traditional events were organized in all fairs which required tickets to watch. As the night was slowly getting darker I left for home with my sisters and we ended up hanging out there like that day.

Thank you very much
