I hope you are all well. Today I am participating in the "The Dress Codes Of My Country" contest organized by @abdullahw2. First of all, I must say that this is a really good theme. This allows us to know what traditional dresses are in other countries. Thanks to @abdullahw2 for bringing us such a great contest.
What are the traditional outfits commonly worn in your country?

My country is Sri Lanka. It is a South Asian country. Therefore, Asians as a whole are very careful about the clothes they wear. They have a distinct culture related to clothes, which is different from other countries. Since ancient times, Sri Lankans are Sinhalese who have been accustomed to wearing clothes that cover their entire body. But since our country was ruled by foreign invaders, the culture we have preserved has completely changed. I must say that the current society does not have the same tradition as in the past. Therefore, even the way many people dress now belongs to Western culture. But there are still women and men in our country who wear traditional clothes in remote villages. Everyone wears gowns, skirts and blouses, trousers and shirts, sarees in their daily lives.

Traditional clothing worn by children for special occasions.
The most commonly worn traditional clothing today is the osari for women and the national costume for men. Women in particular wear the osari to the office, for weddings, other special occasions, and school teachers. Men also only wear the national costume for special occasions.
Are there any dress codes followed in schools, workplaces, or religious places? Tell us about them.
Yes, generally, children who go to school have separate clothes to wear, and the clothes worn by children who go to government national schools and the clothes worn by children who go to international schools are different from each other.

Everyone wears modest clothing to cover their body properly when visiting religious places. And in our country, there are Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim and Burgher nationalities, and they wear different clothes suitable for their religious festivals. These ddresses vary according to ethnicity.
In your country, what type of dresses people wear on weddings including the dresses of bride and groom?
During the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom are dressed in traditional Sri Lankan dress and jewelry. Here, the bride is dressed in a Kandyan osari, seven necklaces, and other jewelry, while the groom is dressed in a Kandyan Nilame dress*. In addition, the bride wears a lehenga in the Indian style and the groom is dressed to match it. Furthermore, the groom wears a western style trouser and coat kit, while the bride wears a sari. In the pictures below, you can see pictures for all the occasions I have described here.

What is your personal favorite traditional or modern outfit, and why?
When it comes to clothes, my favorite thing to wear is a saree. I have loved wearing sarees in an Indian style since I was a child. Therefore, when I attend special occasions, especially weddings, I wear sarees in an Indian style and I also decorate myself with matching jewelry and hairstyles.
