HWC Contest #40|| POWERUP & WIN WEEK 31 by @rakiya (23.720 SP)

Hello everyone,
It's your favourite Steemian @rakiya from Nigeria and I'm delighted to join in this contest organized by @jyoti-thelight in this noble community today. It's a wonderful contest and I love to share my participation in it.

We have entered into week 40 of this wonderful contest of powering up our Steem and I'm delighted to be among those taking part in this initiative to grow my SP. Today I want to share with you all a brief process which I used to power up all the Steem in my wallet.

The process below is the process I used to power up 23.720 Steem. Please follow through and see how I carried out this function effectively.

Step 1: Log in to your wallet and then make sure that the wallet is displaying in the format of the screenshot below.

Step 2: Click on the drop-down menu which is close to the Steem token and then click on the power-up option as you can see from the screenshot below.

Step 3: Enter the amount of Steem you wish to convert to SP and then click on the power-up option as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 4: Confirm the transfer you wish to do to vesting by clicking the OK option as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 5: Go back to your wallet and then check to be sure that the Steem you converted to SP has been added as seen in the screenshot below.

Write the importance of performing powerup.

Power up has many importance in the Steemit platform and that is why the Steemit team encourages it always. It is power up that brought about the club status i.e. club5050, club75 and club100.

Today I also try to always power up because I want to grow my account. As it stands now, I have hit my first 500 SP and with that, I believe my curation reward will increase when I continue to support others through voting.

Finally, powering up our Steem will help us have more influence in the platform i.e. an increase in reputation, more visibility and more curation reward. We are also able to join in curation and decision-making on the platform.
