The post is amazing, I enjoyed reading it. I have a doubt, I think the amount exploited is $100 Million, this is what I have read. Still, as you shared, it seems that even BSC isn't decentralized either...

    I too read as $100 million,vut some telling $500 million later. At starting it circulated as $100 million.
