✅ Which language are you proud of and why? |
---|
I am a Bengali. So my proud language is Bengali. Even though Bengali language like other languages is used to express feelings, our Bengali language is more special than all other languages. Because we are the only nation in the world who have agitated for language.

International Mother Language Day is celebrated on 21st February around the world with a focus on our Bengali language as a tribute to such a great sacrifice and struggle towards the language. Because on February 21, 1952 we Bengalis protested against Pakistanis for our beloved mother tongue Bengal and in this movement Rafiq Salam Barkat Jabbar Shafiullah and thousands of unknown young Bengali youths were martyred by the invaders.
Later, the struggle and movement became more intense with this Bengali language in view of which the 9-month bloody war started in 1971. About 30 lakh Bengalis lost their lives and 2 lakh mothers and sisters lost their honor in this war.
✅ Can you tell the history of the language you are proud of, how it became a language and became common among the people? |
---|
The history of Bengali language is very old. A new language created from several languages. Therefore, the history of this language is also quite long. However, Bengali language originally originated from the Indo-Aryan language group. Three periods are notable in the origin of Bengali language.
• Old Bengali.
• Central Bengal.
• Modern Bengali.

This period was 900-1400CE. At that time a new language was created, different from Sanskrit but influenced by Sanskrit.
This period was 1400-1800CE. During this period of Bengali language, Bengali language also started to be used in literature. Many other poets including Chandidas started using Bengali language in writing poems. And the Muslim rulers introduced many words from Arabic and Persian into the Bengali language and gradually Bengali started to be used as the language of the common people.
The Bengali language that has been spoken since the 1800s is termed as a modern language. In the 19th century, the Bengali language began to flourish under the leadership of legendary figures like Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar, Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay and the world poet Rabindranath Tagore.
Then, after the independence of India, the movement started with Bengali language in order to get their rightful rights in the state of Pakistan.
✅ How to avoid miscommunication in language and how to create effective communication? |
---|
When we talk to someone, we have to use language depending on the ability and understanding of the person in front of us. Avoid complex and compound words and speak in simple and fluent language so that our listeners understand what we say well. Not speaking in clear and complete language always becomes a cause of misunderstanding.
