I am a citizen of Bangladesh. We have many issues to be proud of about our country. But I never get a chance to talk about them. Today, the respected admin @deepak94 sir has given us an opportunity to talk about the country's heritage and issues to be proud of. I feel honored to be able to participate in that contest. I am starting my discussion by thanking @deepak94 sir once again for giving us such a beautiful contest.

I am proud of myself as a Bangladeshi. Because we have historical events to be proud of. We are a peace-loving nation. We can also sacrifice our lives to protect our self-respect. Everyone in the world knows about February 21, 1952. The fearless Bengali nation went to war to protect the rights of their language. That day, we did not have weapons. That day, we had courage and our commitment to the country.
Overcoming the fear of weapons, in exchange for the blood of our brave brothers, protected the right to language on February 21, 1952. And fearless soldiers like Salam, Rafiq Barkat, and Zabbar became martyrs. Because of their bravery, we are able to speak Bengali with pride.

Our sacrifice did not go in vain. The United Nations recognized this language movement in 2002 and declared this day as International Mother Language Day.
We are the only nation in the world who gave their lives to protect the language. The whole world celebrates this day as Language Day every year. We also remember our brave soldiers with deep respect on February 21 every year. Along with us, every country in the world shows respect and honor to our heroes. Through the language movement, our recognition has increased all over the world. They consider us role models.

We as a nation have always shown courage. Especially when it comes to protecting our motherland, we never hesitate to sacrifice ourselves. When foreign enemies attacked us on March 26, 1971, we were unarmed. But even in the face of weapons, the brave Bengalis were not afraid. They abandoned their comforts and jumped on the foreign enemy with only the vow of protecting the country. The foreign enemies were defeated by their immense courage and tireless efforts. And we gained independence on December 26, 1971.

Everyone can fight with weapons. But we have shown the world that if there is an indomitable will to win, victory will be achieved no matter how strong the enemy is.
We are known all over the world as a fearless nation. Freedom-loving people get inspiration from our courage.

People of different religions live in our country. Since we are a peace-loving nation, everyone can practice their religion in the best way possible. No one harbors hatred towards anyone's religion. Our openness towards religion has made us great. At various times, words of praise are published in the world media about our religious liberal attitude. Which is a matter of good fortune for us. At the same time, our liberal attitude has been celebrated as a role model.

Language I believe is a pride of a nation.
I've heard the story of Bangladesh going to war for the sake of their language and truly this shows and teaches the world lessons on commitment to defending what's right.

even without weapons, the country still pull out strong and I must say that really take a lot courage as of the time. Now it's a pleasure to know that a day is set aside to recognize Mother langu in you country. That shows the pride to your nation ajd a lesson learned by all.

Good luck 🤞 on the contest.
