Am @smartlouis and I recently subscribed to this community after seeing it's potentials and good works. I also discovered that this community was made one of the communities in steemit few months ago, that's very impressive. I will try my best to be a complete active member of this community if I get support from its admins as well.
I have decided to participate in one of the best contest in this community today and I hope I win the first contest am participating in this awesome community. I thank @hindwhale for organizing this power up contest.
Steps in powering up
Powering up is an act of converting our liquid steem to steem power and once we do so, our influence in the platform begins to grow small small until your vote begins to have value on steemians posts.
Step 1
First of all you login to your steemit wallet, after that you will be able to do any transaction you feel like doing.
My steem was 14.198 and my steem power was 379.288.
Step 2
Click on the tiny arrow beside the number of the steem you have and a small page will open.
Once this page opens, you click on the power up button since your mission is to power up.
Step 3
A new page will open and you are expected to click the amount of steem you powered up, I want to power up my entire steem which is 14.198 steem so I will type it in the box.
After filling the amount of steem you want to power up, click on the power up button. After this, a confirmation page will open.
Step 4
The next thing to do is to fill in your active key or any other key requested, in other to complete the transaction.
After doing this your steem power will automatically increase. Look at 👆my steem is now 0 while my steem power is now 393. Am so excited.
Importance of powering up
- Once we power up, our influence in the platform increases.
We will be in a club and also get daily supports from the steemit team if we perform this act daily or weekly.
It increases our rank in the steemit platform and some other importance.
