HWC contest #123: Let's do some creativity: watercolour painting "Morning"

Hello my dear Steemians,

 

Finally weekend and I have a chance to grab my painting materials, it I always very strange feeling if you have such a long gap between the current and last painting. I thought that it is time to restart practising and all possible reasoning should really be put on the shelf.

Today I have my watercolour paints and my different brushes, I mentioned in the past that I have two new brushes and it is a good time to try them too. As you might know watercolour is such a medium that it is difficult to mix different colours to create a good mixture. Some colours are created good third colour on other hand if there is a wrong mixture then it will be dirty colour and that can destroy the painting. I actually decided to choose just very few colours and to see if that will work.

 

 

When I was thinking what to do, my first thought was cityscape or building, on other hand it is also not really easy because then we need many geometric shapes. That is why I thought I would just choose seascape that is my favourite scene and I did a lot in the past. That is why I have decided to take these couple of coats and very light colours.

The reflection is always darker than real objects and also in water we do not see straight lines because of constant movement of water surface. We have main centre of painting and also just a bit on sides those objects are more far in misty section of scenery. That is why I just used simple one colour, more concentrated and less. It is a good exercise and I also noticed what I need to pay attention too for the next time. The only what I need to do regular exercising.
