During this time, there's a cultural norm of indulging in a variety of delicacies, including "Pithas" and "Payesh." This culinary celebration coincides with the new cultivation of rice by our farmers, marking the traditional "Pitha Puli" season throughout the country. Additionally, winter brings the harvesting of date juice, used in making jaggery. The combination of freshly cultivated rice powder and date juice results in a delightful array of pithas, becoming a cherished tradition in our villages and across the country. Winter is also the year-ending period when we can comfortably engage in vacations, parties, picnics, and various gatherings, including joyous wedding ceremonies. From every perspective, winter brings an extra layer of fondness and a festive vibe that resonates with me deeply.

In my response, I share not only my enthusiasm for winter but also specific destinations on my bucket list—Kashmir and Switzerland. Despite my love for winter, I acknowledge that it brings its challenges, such as the seasonal flu. The question prompts me to reflect on the measures I take, especially as a mother and homemaker, to ensure the well-being of my family during the colder months. This involves practical steps like providing warm clothing, using warm water for bathing, and choosing suitable moisturizers to combat the dryness that often accompanies winter.And must I ensure lots of seasonal vegetables in my family food menu to stay healthy through out the winter.
