The incident of that day scared me a lot, it was a moment when I was very scared of something untoward happening.

What was happening? Who was with you?

I had to go on a tour within my district for some official work, and that day my driver was also on leave, I was not supposed to travel long distances, so I was driving my official vehicle myself.

There was an official name plate written on the vehicle. On the way, I suddenly saw a huge crowd gathering which was becoming violent, they had sticks, rods, hockey sticks, swords and also incendiary weapons in their hands.

They broke the windows of many vehicles, and were also setting vehicles on fire. They were protesting against the incident of molestation of a girl. I was all alone in my vehicle, a group of boys ran towards my car, I was shocked to see them coming towards me.

How did you feel?

I was afraid that they will damage my car or they can harm me too, for a moment I lost my senses but then the government officer inside me woke up and I got out of the car and stood outside.

Tell me what was the reason for the fear and what did you do to handle it.

I immediately used my intelligence and stopped the boys coming towards me with a hand gesture and when I reached them, I told them very politely that I am doing government duty here and have come here on behalf of the health department, I have come here to treat any patient. Hearing this, one of those smart boys stopped everyone and they went back from there.

How did things end?

I saw an opportunity and drove my car through the fields and returned to my office through another route. I faced a lot of trouble on the way but I saved my car and my life.

How did this moment stay with you?

This moment was very scary, I was worried about my life, and I also learned a lesson that I will never go on a trip without a driver in the future. That day I conquered the situation with my intelligence. But we cannot know any future incident/accident in advance.

Thanks for the invitation. I'm glad you handled the situation intelligently. You will no longer drive alone, but will take your own driver.

Thanks for accepting my invitation and commenting on my post. When life is in danger, wisdom comes to the fore or sometimes the opposite also happens.

When I read your story, it recalled me "Kalu Julliya" in Sri Lanka. That occurred in 1983 against Tamil people. I watched several incident similar to this from media. I could understand your fear that moment, I was surprised how you were bold enough to talk directly to the violent gang. Reason was fear.
Good luck with the contest.

I really liked your comment, actually it was a quick decision taken at that time, because it is said that when there is a threat to life, a person becomes fearless. And anyway, if I had not done this, those people would have harmed me.
Your comment with example is very accurate.
One more thing to say congratulations for becoming Mod in Hindwhale communtiy.

Thank you very much for your warm wishes.
