Hello guys, how are you all doing from your end.? I am doing amazingly well from Lagos Nigeria my base.

Today I am pleased to participate in this power up contest.

And I be showing step by step on how I powered up 25.488 Steem.

Power up is a process of transferring a liquid Steem from a Steem account to a Steem power account.

This is done in other to boost one's Steem power and as to be able to also add value to other persons posts by way of vote support.

The Steem power is a liquid Steem that had been powered up, it still remains the steemian's asset, just that it is uneasily accessible like the liquid Steem.

For one to access the Steem power, he needs to initiate a power down in other to transfer the Steem power to liquid Steem account.

Powering down an account takes a process of one month to get everything out of a Steem power to liquid Steem account. A quarter drops after every 7 days. It's divided into 4 and a quarter drops after every 7 days, until it's completely powered down.

Back to our discussion, power up is a very good way of building one's Steem power, in other to also give back to the community.

The business of Steemit, is a game of Steem power.

• Steem power gives one influence in the community.

• Steem power boosts one's voting power on others content.

• Steem power determines the quality of ones Steem account.

After clicking power up, I was navigated to another page where I had to input the Steem amount I needed to power up.

I powered up 25.488 steem, as you can see from my below screenshot.

And congratulations to me, I have successfully powered up 25.488 Steem.

As can be seen from my screenshot below, my Steem had left the liquid Steem account to my sperm power account. So now my voting power has increased.

If you have not performed a Steem power up before, I believe by now you have learnt practically step by step ways of Powering up your Steem.

So many of our newbies doesn't know the benefits of power up, I had similar challenge initially when I joined steemit, but I am glad that I have grown and I know better now.

It is good to always engage in power ups in other to grow one's Steem power.

And contests like this is another motivating factor for participating in power ups because there is also a probability that the participant will earn from engaging in the contest, while performing a power up.

Let's make it a habit to power up, though the current club status rules on steemit has made it possible for people to always power up especially when one wants to withdraw a liquid Steem from the platform.

For people in club5050, they are expected to power up 50% equivalent of their withdrawals, while people in club75 lowes up 75% equivalent of their Steem withdrawals and finally club100 status holders don't take out anything at all from their Steem wallet, rather they lowes up everything as it enters their wallets.

I'm glad that I have done justice to this contest explaining what steem power is and it's benefits and at the same time showing us a practical step on how to power up one's Steem.
