Steemit Engagement Challenge S6/W5 - What Were Some of Your Childhood Dreams, and How Did They Come True?

Good day, Steemians. I'm so excited to be here again and participate in another interesting contest topic that talks about Childhood Dreams and How they come true. You know just like every other kids, there are some things I dreamt of as a kid and wish to do or become in the future, so today I will be telling you about some of these dreams.

First Dream

---

I have always dreamed of being educated, I could remember the drama I performed when I was almost 4 years old, when I saw a lady that had graduated and was doing her NYSC, I was told I walked to the lady and told her I that I also will be educated and will wear the uniform when I grew up. The lady was so nice that she encouraged me to focus on my study, be obedient and graduate with good grades.

How did they come true

---

Only polytechnic and university graduates are opportune to serve the country, and since I could not afford university and went to college I was unable to wear the uniform. Though I still plan to do my degree using my college result, I still can't wear the uniform because it has some age range at which one can serve the country, but you know to me I felt like I served my country because I did my 6 months hospital posting in another town, learning and assisting the staff of the hospitals without collecting any salary.

Second Dream

I dreamt of becoming a medical personnel since I was a kid, I have an aunt who was a nurse, and the way she treated us anytime we are sick, ensuring we are back on our feet makes me fall in love with the profession, there I decided that I am going to become a medical professional, work in a hospital treating and doing my best to ensure my patients are healthy too.

How did they come true

Yes, my dream come true, though not as a nurse but as a medical laboratory technician. I do feel so happy seeing my patients in good health after their doctors use my laboratory result to diagnose and treat them.

Third Dream

---

I have seen my mother struggling to cater for my and my sibling's needs since I was a kid even though we are living under my father's roof, she survived so that we can live a good life, so I decided that when I become an adult, I will enrich her, buy her house and cars, cater for all her needs and ensure she is happy at all time.

How did they come true

---

Well, I'm still not rich enough to buy her a house or car but I ensure I work so hard to relieve her of my sibling's responsibilities as she can not do hard work again due to her health. Also, I make sure I send money home every month to assist her with foodstuffs and other house needs. I always did my best in making her happy, talking to her regularly, caring for her, and ensuring she is medically fine too. I'm sure by God's grace that very soon I will fulfill the rest of the dreams by building her a house and buying her a car because she deserves nothing but the best.

Fourth Dream

I always hope to be successful, happy, helpful, and wealthy when I become an adult. I hope to marry the best man that will be my best friend, someone that will give me more joy and peace of mind, a man I can be myself with and also will cherish, love, and pamper me. I want the marriage to be forever, with no failed marriage or divorce.

How did they come true

---

I'm still working on making these dreams a reality, I am diligent to become successful, always render help in my capacity and even though I'm not married I am sure that by the grace of God, prayer, and my upbringing I'm going to marry the best man for me.

Conclusion

Childhood dreams are big and very important because it gives kids the motivation to keep pursuing their goals and achieve their dreams. As for my childhood dreams, some are being achieved, while some are in process of achievement. I believe that with my determination, discipline, and diligence, I will achieve it all.
