Introduction

Hello,
A beautiful day to you all, happy and a productive new week I wish all of us. Make sure you command your day to yield results.
I am your girl @tripple-e from Nigeria and I'm here to participate in this contest organized by our amiable friend @deepak94, I appreciate you.

I am a proud woman and I must say that all women are beautiful creatures and I believe we all have women in our lives; be it our mothers, sisters, wives, girlfriend etc. you will all agree with me that they all make life fun and worth living.

So in this contest, I want to use my beloved mother (although she's late) as a source of my inspiration or as my case study 😀.

I love this poem by Ann Taylor that talks about a woman's (mother's) love.

Who sat and watched my infant head
When sleeping on my cradle bed,
And tears of sweet affection shed?
My Mother.

When pain and sickness made me cry,
Who gazed upon my heavy eye,
And wept for fear that I should die?
My Mother.

Who taught my infant lips to pray
And love God's holy book and day,
And walk in wisdom's pleasant way?
My Mother.

And can I ever cease to be
Affectionate and kind to thee,
Who wast so very kind to me,
My Mother?

A woman's love to her children is unquantifiable, she can sacrifice and go extra miles just to feed and fend for her family.
She will put her family first before herself.

I wasn't born with a silver spoon so I can vividly recall and relate all the sacrifices my mother made on our account before she passed; because I grew up with my mother.
I didn't have the luxury of being raised by both parent.

Her resilience, daring character and never give up trait is what she passed down to me. And I'm glad I could inherit one or two of her character trait.
I remember one of those days when I was still in the university, i couldn't pay my tuition fees and the semester exams was at the corner and my mum didn't have money at the moment, there was no help coming from anywhere, so I cried back to her that I don't want to suspend my studies or dropped out of school.

Then she assured me that, that can never happen under her watch, that I should just give her three days for her to raise money for me; and exactly three days she called me that I should come home and get the money. My joy knows no bounds, how she came about the money I don't know. A woman's love to her child pushed her to make sacrifices and go extra miles just to make me happy.

She raised us well by instilling good morals in us, six girls in number. We were the role models to other children in my neighborhood.
I'll often hears a mother reprimanded her children by telling them "can't you be like the daughters of........? and we were really her pride and source of strength. I miss her everyday.

But it is well, I am strong, we are strong. That's why I'm able to draw inspiration from her deeds.

Asides a personal experience, we have tons of great women all over the world. Is it in the entertainment industry, politics, music and so on that we get inspired by their influence and achievements.
Women are sources of inspiration to many so let's hold them in high esteem.
