Should single-use plastics be banned worldwide?

All plastic materials like bottles for water, soft drinks and juices are made of Oil, unfortunately it is one of the material that is easy to produce and also it is possible to create different shapes, they are light in compare to glass bottles and robust because plastic doe not break. Those features make is favourable for industry to use them in food manufacture.

Majority of such bottles are made of plastic and there are not many recycling points because it is too expensive and requires, energy for destroying and create new. Many countries decided just to through them away, often we see that such plastic stuff is swimming in ocean, people hope that they will disappear forever but plastic does not dissolve and remain forever causing pollution in water reservoirs.

I agree it should be forbidden worldwide and encourage using other materials that are easy to recycle.

Can a global ban on plastics harm the economy?

It will definitely negatively affect economy but at the initial stage, the usage of oil will also be reduced and that is what the countries that producing oil will not be happy because it is a huge loss of a lot of money. The human is very greedy and selfish, people always will strive to receive as many things for themselves as possible. Those wealthy people have good contact to politicians and will have their profit at any price.

Will banning single-use plastics improve environmental health?

Our environment might benefit from it the less plastic around in our world, less in water such as micro-plastic and also less we receive from our drinking water or from meats and vegetables and fruits. It is not only improve the health of environment but the health of people.

Are there better alternatives to banning single-use plastics?

*I think if to make restriction for usage of plastic is important and it should be done on the political level of a country, maybe to ask for higher taxes for products that are made from single used plastic will make people have more interest to switch to multiple way usage of plastic or to use glass bottles instead. *
