We Bengalis celebrate winter by eating various kinds of pithas. Every Bengali houses must make some pitha and we enjoy it with great interest and love. This winter morning, in my breakfast there was "Dudh Chitai". Everything about this pitha is extraordinary and very delicious. The milk in this pitha is thickened by boiling it, and jaggery or sugar is added to it. Cardamom and bay leaves are added for fragrance. Then the prepared chitai pitha is added to it. To enhance the taste of this pitha a little more, raisins and various types of nuts are added to it. It is soaked overnight in that thick milk and the next day it is served for food. We basically eat this pitha in every winter and every member of our family likes this pitha very much.

Today, lunch had various items. Rice was accompanied by fried eggs and dal. Apart from that, there was another item, which was potato bharta, which was made with onion, green chili, and also used pure mustard oil in to this. Since eggs are very beneficial for our health, we definitely try to include eggs in our daily food menu.

Tonight's dinner was pulao and hot beef masala. I greatly enjoy this food better when I make it at home rather than eating it outside. I think I can eat it with satisfaction with the homemade cooking. Today's beef was made with a lot of spice and our whole family enjoyed this hot beef served for dinner.
