"HWC contest #127: Food Diary Game - WEEK -41" organized by honorable @jyoti-thelight Madam. Every event gives us an opportunity to share our daily food habits with everyone. Today I want to share with you all what food I ate with my family yesterday on this blessed day of Ramadan. Before starting my post I would like to invite some of my Steemian fellows - @chant, @damithudaya, @sadaf02, and @safdarali.
Since the month of Ramadan is going on now, we eat the first part of our day's meal at around 4:30 am. We called this meal Sehri. Since after eating Sehri, we have to stay starving all day, we always try to eat some nutritious food in this Sahari that will give us some relief from our fatigue. Tonight our main meal in Sehri was rice and with it was milk and pure Patali jaggery. After eating rice, we each ate two small pieces of banana.
We Muslims always try to have something nourishing and delicious after fasting for the sake of Allah. Today we had three drinks for iftar, one was tang sherbet, one was lemon water sherbet and the other was matha. Along with this, the fruits included ripe papaya and two types of dates.
Along with it were fried potato chops, fried eggplant, fried onion, and egg chops. Along with this, there was also tomato salad and pickled cucumber. There was also
another item named ghugni with it which increased the taste of muri masala two times more. With these all delicious and nutritious Iftar we finished our Ramadan very blissfully.
At night at dinner, we cooked some spicy items would bring a great taste to our tongue of having a long fasting day. Tonight, the dinner included quite spicy potato karala bhaji along with the main food rice. Another item was a fish soup curry with
new potatoes, tomatoes, and rui fish that had just freshly come out of the market. There was also the item of spicy roasted chicken. To enhance the taste of the dinner a little more, I had a tomato salad made with more green chilies. After fasting all day, I feel a little better eating spicy curries.
Alhamdulillah, this is how I spent my day during Ramadan with a healthy and nutritious meal. I hope everyone will like this post and I request everyone to share their thoughts with us in the comment box.
Warm Regards
@Zisha-hafiz
