I really love Coldplay's "Fix You". It's a really tough thing to be a Bangladeshi girl because you have to struggle your way through a lot. The song starts with “When you try your best but you don’t succeed” it’s describing my own life. I’ve tried so hard so often, but it hasn’t always worked. Often times I have found myself stuck between having failed and disappointed, of balancing what society expects of me, what my family wants, and what I dream of. These lyrics is real to me. At different times I have wondered if nobody really gets what goes through my head, but every word of this song is about the way I feel. In hard times I remember that there is a meaning deeper of these lyrics.
How the music itself makes you feel
These music of this song has a calming and deep feeling that can pull off my worry, for a while. Every time I am sad or I worry, this song helps like washing my sorrow.
When I hear it, Tears stream down your face, when you lose something you can’t replace. It’s hard not to cry. This melody was crying from my heart, I can feel it. The music is quiet and it's soothing, like each word adds itself to the world here with me. When I hear this song I feel like I’m looking for peace, I find some safe and calm place.
The heart of your post should focus on whatever impact this song has had on your life and your personal connection to it.
In life there are many times where I feel that I am hopeless, that all hope is lost. At these times it was this song that brought a hope into my life. For a girl of Bangladeshi origin, it is very hard to find her place in the world due to societal pressure along with the pressure from family. The song Fix You was something that I built up my strength most of those tough times. Specifically when singing the lyrics – Lights will guide you home helps me feel like that I have ray of hope even in blackest of periods.
This is a song I have learned that there is strength even in sadness. This song would remind me that I am not alone when I feel alone. It gives me the courage strength to rebuild myself again. This song makes every lost moment feel connected to it, each failure feels connected to it, all the broken dreams feel connected to it.
I hear it and I feel like there is someone there by me and understanding all my pain. And it makes me feel better and serves as a reminder that hard times will go away. It makes me feel brave enough to try again, keep going. "Fix You" isn’t just a song to me, it's a story of hope and bravery. Every word of this song allows me to become more confident on the inside.
