Greetings ! This is Aalia Rubab. How are you all? Hopefully, you all will be fine and happy. Alhumdolillah, I'm fine by the grace of Almighty Allah. I'm a student of English literature. I read a book Crow Eaters by Bapsi Sidhwa. My teacher asked me to write a fictional work on the style and theme of chapter 4 from her book. This is my little attempt 🙈. Stay tuned with me.
Hamaad Bukhari, Meddy for short, was a young man of twenty five. He belonged to an ordinary family. He just graduated and was in search of a job. Even today he came here in search of a job. Meddy took a few steps forward and stopped, he looked at this enormous building, his eyes were full of passion, curiosity, need and desire. He jerked his head and went inside. After a few minutes he was seen coming out of that building Holding a file in his hand. He first looked at the file and then at the building. "Inexorable!", he uttered.
He extended his hand to stop the rickshaw and went home.Mrs Farooqi was busy in the kitchen when she heard the doorbell and thought that some neighbor may have come. She opened the door and was shocked to see his son Meddy so early as he had gone for an interview. Assalamualaikum! he said and without listening the answer went straight to his room. It was his fifth interview after graduation and was not hopeful to get this Job as well. It's not that he didn't get any call from any of these interviews, one of them did but he couldn't agree on the salary they offered.
He never thought that he would have trouble getting a job. It was in his mind from the beginning that he would get the job easily after completing his graduation. But he forgot that it's Pakistan! And here, there are so many other people like him who have been searching for a job since the day they graduated. His mobile screen lit up. There was a message from some company but he wasn't looking at it,
his eyes were focused on the wallpaper "Don't give up".
This wallpaper was put up by him when he came back from his first job interview, he smiled sarcastically while looking at the mobile screen. Today when he was coming back from the interview, there was only one thing on his mind and that was to leave Pakistan, and the moment he got the chance he would leave. He needed his father's permission for this which he will get today. He got up, loosened his tie and went to freshen up.
Mr. Farooqi was sitting in the drawing room reading a book when Meddy entered the room. Meddy looked at his father's face and then his eyes moved from his face to his hands in which he was holding the book. He read the title 'Rich Dad Poor Dad ' when Mr. Farooqi raised eyes from the book, seeing his son in front of him, he smiled.
'Your mother was telling me that you had an interview. How was it?', said Mr. Farooqi. He couldn't say anything and just shook his head. In reality he had no words to say.'I feel like I'm the most unworthy person in the world.' he said after a moment of silence.
Here my post's ends. I hope you will like my writing style. I wrote this creativity on the style of Bapsi Sidhva , she uses the style in her book Crow Eaters chapter 4. Thank you for reading my post. Stay blessed.
Best Regards
Aalia Rubab
