On this occasion, I would like to participate in the contest organized by @suboohi. Here is my entry for the contest.
This morning, I decided to go fishing by the swamp at a very promising spot. The weather was very clear, with a beautiful blue sky and scattered white clouds, making me even more confident that I would catch a lot of fish today. I wore a gray t-shirt, jeans, and a black cap. I also brought a jacket earlier, but I was too lazy to wear it since it would only make me feel hotter. My main goal was to find peace and escape from the exhausting daily routine because fishing always gives me a sense of calm.
The path was quite narrow, just a small trail that couldn't be accessed by motorbike. On both sides, tall grass brushed against my arms, making them itch. After walking for a few minutes, I finally found the perfect spot. Right in front of me was a swamp filled with water hyacinths. I started making a hole by pulling some of the hyacinths aside with a stick to create a good fishing spot. In fact, I made two holes at once.
Standing at the edge of the swamp, I prepared my fishing rod and bait, which I had brought earlier. Then, I cast my line into the spot I had created.
While waiting for the fish to bite, I enjoyed the fresh air and the peaceful atmosphere. A gentle breeze blew against my face, cooling me down as sweat started to form. From a distance, I could hear the melodious chirping of birds. Even though I was under the scorching sun, I felt truly comfortable being there. I took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh air, and embraced the tranquility.
A few minutes passed when suddenly I felt a slight movement on my fishing rod. I stood firmly, ready to reel it in, but it turned out to be just a small fish caught on my hook. I chuckled to myself and muttered in frustration, but I quickly threw my line back in, hoping to catch a bigger one this time.
I just wanted to stay here longer. Whether I caught a small or big fish didn't really matter. I simply wanted to enjoy this moment of peace and forget about my daily routines for a while.
