Why do you think independence is compulsory for a nation or country?

Independence is essential for our nation or country because it represents the ability of a people to govern themselves, fake decisions in their own best interest and determine their own future without external control or interference. Independence allows a nation to exercise self determination, meaning the people have the power to make decision that affect their lives, culture and future. Without independence, a nation might be subjected to external control where a foreign power dictates policies that may not align with the needs, values or desire of local population. Every nation has a unique cultural identity, shaped by its history, language, tradition and values. Independence allows a nation to preserve and promote it's culture without the imposition of foreign influence that might dilute or suppress it. Economic independence is crucial for a nation development. When a country is independent it can control it's natural resources, industries and trade policies. This autonomy allows a nation to develop it's economy in a way that benefits it's citizen rather than being exploited for benefits of a foreign power. Independence is often a prerequisite for political stability and development. When a nation is under foreign control it's political system is often imposed by the ruling power which may not align with the local context or needs. Foreign rule can lead to social injustice, as the ruling power may prioritize its own interests over the well being of local population. Independence allows a nation to be recognized as a sovereign entity on the global stage. Independence also has a profound psychological impact on a nation people. The struggle for independence often unites people across different backgrounds, fostering a sense of national solidarity. Independence is essential for a nation because it allows for self governance, cultural preservation, economic development, political stability, social justice and international recognition.
