Hello friends home and abroad warm regards to everyone, I'm Anthony from Nigeria and it's a pleasure to have you on my post, I'm engaging in this week's amazing Contest titled: "One Picture And One Story" organized by @suboohi which I am going to share with you all an amazing photograph and by doing well as telling a short story about it.

The story behind the picture

Time flies so fast these cassavas were planted 7 months ago as sticks and now we are reaping big cassavas, a picture of a peeled and unpeeled cassava in one place, so that day my dad, Aunty, and I went to our big cassava to harvest some cassava that we would process into raw garri and I'm taking some of it to school because there in the northern part of Nigeria which is where I'm schooling garri is rare and very expensive.

So as my dad was using a hoe to dig out the cassavas from the soil regardless of the hardness of the soil he was still doing the harvest with much effort and strength, a father who never gets tired of working furthermore as he's harvesting I was the one gathering all the harvested cassavas into a big basin and then carry the basin filled up with cassava on my head and move 'em to a shade were my aunty was sitting pour it on the ground and she was peeling off the cassava skin, as every one of us was working effortlessly the work was moving fast.

My dad was done with the harvest, the same as me, I was also done packing all the harvested cassava on the floor of the farm; we then joined my aunty in peeling the cassava since it said two are better than one. Actually, we were three, haha.
It was stressful, but I thank God we overcame the stress and made raw food! Thanks for stopping by, blessings...
