Explanation

---

According to the contest requirements, today I am sharing my drawing of a prickly pear fruit with you all. Without further delay, let’s get started.

Step 01

Using a pencil, I first drew the shape of a prickly pear fruit. Then, on its right side, I drew another smaller balloon-shaped outline.

Step 02

Next, I drew a semi-circular shaped fruit below these two fruits.

Step 03

	Using Gel pen

To make the drawing more vivid, I used a gel pen to outline it clearly.

Step 04

Spiky shape

Around the small oval shapes on the sides of the fruit, I avoided drawing the borders and added some spiky shapes instead. Now that my drawing is somewhat complete, I will start coloring it.

Step 05

To begin coloring, I selected the slightly larger fruit on the left. I started with the small oval parts of the fruit. Here, I used a combination of red, orange, and yellow colors. I used oil pastels and color pencils for coloring.

Step 06

Next, I moved to the oval parts of the fruit on the right side. I used yellow and green colors here.
For the semi-circular fruit at the bottom, I colored its border area with a combination of yellow and green.

Step 07

Now, I will color the body of the fruit. First, I colored the larger fruit on the left side using a combination of green, light green, and yellow.

Step 08

Once the first fruit was done, I moved to the second fruit. Here, I used a red-orange color combination for the body and orange-yellow for the sides. For the bottom fruit, I used a combination of yellow and light green.

Step 09

I colored the spiky parts on the sides of the fruits black.Then, I used black to add small dot-like patterns to the oval parts.

Step 10

On the body of the fruits, I also added small circular patterns and dots using black.

For the bottom semi-circular fruit, I used a combination of yellow and orange colors in the middle part. Towards the bottom, I softly shaded the border with orange.My prickly pear drawing and coloring are now complete. Finally, I captured a selfie with my drawing!

✅ Are you familiar with this fruit? Is this fruit available in your country? Have you eaten this fruit yet? How much is it worth in your area?

I know about the prickly pear fruit through internet . Outside it looks like a cactus with lots of sharp spines. It can be red or yellow when it does ripen. It has much water inside.

To be honest,prickly pear is quite rare in our country. but you can get it in some super markets or fruit shops in big citie as Dhaka. This fruit quite rare. It expensive even when it is available and much costlier than other fruits.

No. I haven’t eat prickly pear fruit till now. I’ve heard that it taste sweet and a little tangy- Kind of like grapes or watermelon. I also heard that the sharp spines can make peeling it a bit rough. I’d like to try it one day.

I have never seen it being sold directly in the market or online shops. It’s not presently sold in our country so I don’t know the exact price.
