How would you describe the average internet speed in your country? Is it equal to global standards or not?

In Nigeria, I'll say the average internet speed is definitely a bit poor and really slow compared to other countries. While though some places such include the likes of Japan zoom ahead with the lightning-fast speeds, Nigeria is still trying so hard in catching up. Many people do experience speeds that make loading of a simple website to really feel like waiting for a turtle to crawl slowly to cross the road!
This lead to me generalizing that it's not equal to global Standards But again don’t too worry; we’re making progress bit by bit.

How the slow internet speed can affect our personal and professional lives?

When any time the internet is slow, it can really make one feel frustrating. In our own personal lives, it also can make watching videos or maybe playing games really tough. For the professionals, a slow internet can always delay some important work to finalize, making it really trying, hard to send out emails or join video calls. It’s more like trying to run a race with an heavy shoes on you.

In your opinion, what steps can be taken to improve internet speed and accessibility in your country?

So I do come up with plans, how do we try as much to speed things up?
Let's review this ideas đź’ˇ

Invest in Better Infrastructure: The needs for building more good towers and improving of connections can help everyone to get better internet.

Encourage Competition: Also the more the internet companies available can really lead to the better services and prices!

Educate Users: Teaching the people how to always optimize their settings and their equipment will always boost their speeds.

Definitely Together đź’Ż, we all can make the internet services in Nigeria more faster and more accessible for everyone but not mile!
So Let’s all keep pushing for a more brighter and more connected future!

Just today, we have this particular customer who came to patronize us. He bought 1 bag of rice and drinks making a total sum of 180,000 which is about 573 steem. It was time for payment. I look at my boss and ask whether should we use POS for fast transaction or he should do the transfer directly to the bank. My boss insisted transferring to her account and the customer initiate the transaction.

Guess what, he was debited, the money was deducted from his account but it didn't show on our own accounts even though we used mobile app. My boss immediately called the account manager to clarify the transaction but it was unavailable. The man waited for about 15 min and at last we had to let him go after we collected his details for the benefits of doubt. 3 hours later the money drop in our account. What causes the delay? No Internet connection to check the mobile app. NO INTERNET CONNECTION

In Nigeria there's a particular village or state that doesn't have Internet connection at all, I remember our seldom journey to one village in Akwa ibom state, we had to a particular spot just to get network or to do anything online.

Remember that without internet connection you cannot browse and most of the causes of this problem is from the network provider. Most people claimed that MTN is fast in browsing, I don't know about it because I have not used any other network apart from Airtel where I normally called them the smartphone network. What do you think @bossj23, @missyleo and @saintkelvin17?
