WHAT IS WATER?

I still recall the meaning of water I learnt in my primary school days and it says; "Water is a colourless, tasteless and odourless liquid." Water is very important to man because every living being needs water to survive, even plants and animals need water to survive.

SOURCES OF WATER

Where does water come from? We get water from different sources and they includes;

  1. Rain
  2. River
  3. Stream
  4. Bore hole
  5. Ocean
  6. Lake, etc.

USES OF WATER

We use water in our different homes to do a lot of things like;

  1. The most important thing is that we drink water.
  2. We use water to cook our meals.
  3. We use water to bath.
  4. We use water in mopping and cleaning the house.
  5. We use water in watering plants and flowers.
  6. We use water for washing clothes, dishes, etc.

BENEFITS OF DRINKING WATER

Both human beings and animals drink water to survive. The following are the benefits of drinking water:

  1. Water Aids Digestion: I know that some people eat without drinking water example my husband😎, but it is important that few minutes after eating you should take at least a glass of water for proper digestion of food.

  2. Water Quenches Thirst: Thirst is when your throat is dry and needs to be liquidize. It can be so uncomfortable when you are thirsty and there is no water to drink. We drink water when we are thirsty. My brother-in-law who is a soldier has told us about one of his missions in Sambisa forest where he had to urinate and drank his own urine just to quench his thirst😖.

  3. Water helps in nourishing our skin: Drinking enough water keeps our skin moisturized. To have a fresh and clear skin you need to get used to the habit of drinking clean water.

  4. It cleans our body system: The more water you drink the healthier your body becomes. I have noticed personally over time that when I drink up to or more than 2 liters of water in a day, my urine becomes colourless just like water.

  5. Water help reduces headache: I am not a fan of medicines so most times when I feel dizzy all I do is just to drink enough water and sleep, by the time I wake up the headache subsides. There are more benefits of water than what I have listed so just know that water is very healthy.

IF WATER HAD A COLOUR

Knowing that water is colourless all my life, I will be shocked at first, I imagine myslef waking up one morning to realize that the water in my house now has colour🙄, My dear, I will not drink it o🤐! I will just wait till the water is tested and confirmed clean for drinking, then I will drink.

MY LIFE STORY CONCERNING WATER

I love swimming, visiting a stream, pool or riverside is fun for me. My elder brother taught me how to swim when I was 13 years old in a stream at my village. He used to carry me on his back to a deep spot in the stream and leave me to swim towards him. I used to swallow lots of water before I eventually knew how to swim.🤗
