Social media friend or foe

I bring to you all a special greeting from this part of the world, and welcome to my blog today. I must say that am very happy participating in this contest organised by @artist1111 I found it interesting so I can decided to participate in it.

How has social media positively impacted your individual life

This i will say that social media have positively impacted my individual life through the following ways:

Through the help of social media I am always updated on the current things happening within my country Nigeria 🇳🇬 and also the world at large, unlike before anytime I want to hear news I will use radio and in my area there's poor electricity supply so it's only when there's electricity in my area that I can be able to watch news.
But now through the help of social media that's Facebook in particular I am always updated on the current happenings around the world.

I remember when I was was in secondary School with my classmate most of us do not have big phones then to do Facebook because of that I lost almost all of my classmates contact because if I was doing Facebook then I would have still be in touch with them till now.

Another reason is that I am a sports Lover and most especially a lover of football I remember when I was not in any social media platform each time that I want to listen to football news most especially in transfer news I always carry my radio along with me anywhere I go, until it got to and extent that my friends started laughing at me and calling me radio man😂 because anywhere I go I always go with my radio.
But now that i am in social media most importantly Facebook I am always updated on the latest happenings around the world of football, through the greatest football journalist of all time in person of Fabrizo Romano he sees every content about football once he post a particular news it's real he is the Greatest journalist of all time in my humble opinion.

Social media is very helpful for me in communicating with my friends, I am allergic to calls so through the help of social media platform I can easily communicate with who ever I want to through chatting.
Most of my friends that I have lost contact with for a very long time, I have discover them through social media platform and I am very happy for that.

In overall social media is very helpful to me in different way, and I really enjoy myself each time I am online chatting with my friends.

In what ways do you think social media can be harmful for individuals
In my opinion social media is good for individuals but it also has it bad sides.
Nowadays once you login to social it's either you see a woman dancing naked or half naked which is very bad and it's not good for us at all, most especially for the upcoming generations if cares is not taken people will be working round the streets naked.

Again because of the addiction that people have for social, they will spend their whole day making videos just to get more views and it's very harmful for every individual, I have witness a situation where by a woman cooking a food and she left it just to make videos and post it on her social during the cause of that, the food got burnt and that nearly cost her, her marriage she was nearly send parking by her husband because of that incident.

You can see how harmful social media is to every individual.

Do you believe social media is overall beneficial or detrimental
In my own opinion I think overall social media is very beneficial to our society.
Why I say so is that if you read through my blog carefully you will find every reason why social media is very beneficial.
