Hello friends hope our day was great. I appreciate @saintkelvin17 for organising this contest at the Steem For Pakistan. This contest has allowed me to flashback and bring into memory what happened many years ago.

What do you understand by the word Father?
Father is the male parent of a child or children. He is considered to be the head of the family. He performs the following role in the family

• He provides for the family. He ensures that food, clothing and shelter are provided. He also provides emotional, social and spiritual support for his family.
• He loves his wife and the children
• He gives protection to the family
• He sets a good example for the mother and children to emulate.
• He corrects and disciplines his children when they do wrongs or when they go astray.
• He is always available for his wife and children

Tell us about your dad in two or more paragraphs.

My father of blessed memory died about 24 years ago. He fell sick and was diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus. While receiving treatment he died.
My father was an officer with the Nigerian police force. Very polite in approaching issues. To the best of my knowledge as a child, I could rate him 90% good in attending to his family.

He discharges his responsibilities as expected. He ensures that food is provided daily. He pays our school fees on the very first-day school resumes to save us from any form of embarrassment from the school. The problem we had with him as our father was the fact that he was not always available with us at home due to the nature of his work and that has affected us.

Do you still want him to be your dad if there's a next world and why?

Yes, I still want him to be my father if there is a next world. The reason is because he was good, and caring. He creates time to advise and discipline us. He sometimes beats us very well and makes us feel as though he is not our father but he brings us closer to him after the beating and addresses us.
The changes I would expect from him if there is a next-world is to change his job and get one that will allow him to spend more time with us his children and our mother.

Tell us about the best advice you have received from your father or someone's father

The best advice I have received is from one of my spiritual fathers. The advice he gave me was that I should make the best use of every opportunity God has given me, plan my life well and live as though I will die in the next minute. This advice has put consciousness into me. It makes me always think deeply and rationally before acting or reacting.
