The Mysterious Funnel

There was no entrance to the building he found himself, it was like a dream of torments but they were all real. All roads seem obstructed with gates if bronze neither can he explain how he got to be there. Climbing the fence wasn't a reasonable option, it is so high with thorns all around.

Caleb cried out for help for three good days then on the fourth day, he shouted as usual and then one side of the fences that surrounded him cracked open like a tunnel. The noise it brought forth was so much to get anyone deaf. After the environment become calm, Caleb step in the large tunnel with fear and hope to see a way out.

He kept on saying in his heart, “I wish to get to the end of this tunnel and have my freedom back”!.. Just after finishing his statement, the tunnel "in a loud voice" repeated after him as if the person saying it was very close. He got scared and asked “who is there? ”, “who are you!!” “show your face”!!!. No one or nothing responded. He kept on moving and saw a crying little baby, he felt compassion on her , lifted her up his shoulder, consoled and pet to stop the cry. Immediately her crying was over, she disappeared. He got engrossed with fear as he continued walking beside the way like he was monitoring his environment.

He came to face a lot of test and passed them all. The last one was when he was asked to select one out of the three box presented to him. The boxes were of the same size but not all looked clean, due to his disciplinary behavior, he decided to choose the dirtiest box with immediately transported him to his village with a lost of wealth opportunities in it that would change his village.

Akan was the chief of the guys that threw him into that dungeon when was fast asleep, he didn't believe Caleb would be wise enough to pass the test of the tunnel and succeed with the goodies given from the mysterious funnel. Many have been thrown into that dungeon, entered the tunnel but couldn't come out due to their selfishness, greediness, not being contented and hatred.

Akan then came apologizing to Caleb but he said “dont worry my friend” without your act of wickedness I wouldn't have been here today.

  • Never be selfish rather be selfless.
  • Showing hatred to your fellow human is not the best way to handle things and resolve issues.
  • Being kind enough pays, it has an eternal reward for the person.
  • Some blessings come in disguise of problems and issues of life, so know how to handle them with wisdom.
