Hi steemian friends

In the Islamic religion, especially in Indonesia, we have three categories of festivals or Islamic holidays in a year, namely Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and also the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW / commemorating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.

So, in the contest this week, I would like to review Eid al-Adha, which is one of my favorite Islamic festivals/holidays. Eid al-Adha is celebrated on the 10th of Dzulhijjah on the Hijri calendar or in 2023 it will be celebrated on Thursday, the 29th of June.

Lots of big agendas are being held to welcome Eid al-Adha in Indonesia, two days before the holiday arrives we are here holding Meugang Day which is a day when the people of Aceh can buy beef which is sold en masse in markets and the price is also tend to be cheaper to welcome the arrival of Eid al-Adha the next day.

Eid al-Adha is held for 4 days starting from the 10th of Dzulhijjah to the 14th of Dzulhijjah, on the morning of the first Eid we as Muslims all go to the mosque in our respective cities to perform the Eid prayer for Eid al-Adha.

After finishing the prayer and shaking hands with all the worshipers when they were about to go home, on Eid al-Adha there was also a ceremony to slaughter sacrificial animals consisting of cows, goats, camels, buffaloes and also kibas. However, in our area, people generally slaughter cows and goats for the sacrificial star.

In the village where I live, generally the people will bring their sacrificial animals to the mosque to be slaughtered by the qurban committee. After the meat has been cut into pieces, then it will be distributed to all the people in the village.

Slaughtering qurban animals has many benefits, because we can make everyone happy by sharing the meat of the qurban animals that we slaughter, and this will also make the bond of friendship between people even tighter.

Another most special moment on Eid al-Adha is that we can meet our family, relatives, relatives and friends who have not met for a long time, because on Eid al-Adha everyone will go home and go to their relatives' houses to stay in touch with each other.
