THE MARRIAGE OF FAITH

Simi had grown up in a devout christian family and her faith was central to her life, not only because her father was a minister but because she's had an intimate relationship with Jesus since she was a child.

She attended church regularly, participated in bible studies and she had a deep passion for music which led her to visit the church regularly to learn music and the piano.

Years later, Simi gets admitted to the university to study accountancy, she joins a fellowship on campus and continues serving in the music department of her campus fellowship.

While in school she got advances from her colleagues, lecturers and men around her campus but she turned them down because her father's advice that "Dating is dirty, don't rush into relationships, trust in God's plan and purpose for your life because he makes all things beautiful in his time" stuck to her head.

5 years later, Simi graduates from the University as the best graduating student in Accountancy and immediately gets a job in Lagos while she processed her NYSC, so she moved to Lagos.
While in Lagos, she joins the Lagos branch of her local church and continued serving in the music department.

As she entered her late 20's, her friends began to get married one by one but Simi remained patient , waiting for the right person to come along .
Despite the gentle nudging from her friends and family to settle down, Simi insisted on waiting on God's clear direction. She prayed daily, asking for the spirit of discernment in her search for a life partner.

She wanted a marriage that would honour God and not affect her relationship with Jesus.
Months turned to years and Simi continued to wait , she knew God was working in her life even though she couldn't see it.

One day, at a camp meeting organized by her local church, Simi meets a young pastor named Samuel , he was the pastor of the church branch at Ibadan, they struck up a conversation and discovered a deep connection in their values and faith , they talked for hours,sharing stories and laughter, and Simi felt a sense of comfort and ease that she had not experienced before.

As the camp meeting came to a close, Samuel asked Simi if he could stay in touch and she agreed , they began to communicate through social media and phone calls and Simi felt a sense of excitement and hope that she had never felt before.

But Simi didn't want to rush into anything, she sought guidance from her pastor and parents and continued to pray for confirmation,
She wanted to be sure that Samuel was the one God had prepared for her.

Weeks turned into months and Samuel patiently courted her, never pressing her for commitment.
Finally after 9 months of waiting and seeking God's will, Simi felt a clear sense of direction, she knew Samuel was the one God has chosen for her, with joy and confidence she accepted his proposal,
They got married in a beautiful christian ceremony surrounded by family and friends.

Their marriage was a testament to the power of trusting God's plan and timing, Simi and Samuel built a life that was rooted in their faith and commitment to each other.
