While I was less busy in the office, I decided to login to steemit to upvote and also comment on quality posts. I got an invite notification from my very good friend @megareigns to participate in this contest. I picked up the interest to participate immediately.

Question 1; What do you understand by the word Application.

An application, or app, is a self-contained program that performs a specific task or set of tasks, such as word processing, email, or gaming. It can also refers to the practical use or implementation of knowledge, skills, or principles.



Question 2; Tell about three applications in your phone.
• MX Player

MX Player is a popular media player app for Android and i0S devices which supports various music formats such as: AVI, MP4, MK, etc. It plays music files and podcasts and also displays subtitles in multiple languages.

It adjusts volume, brightness, and playback speed. MX Player can be used to integrates with popular streaming services to allow downloading content for offline viewing. It has customized themes, playback modes, and equalizer settings.

InShot is a versatile video editing and photo editing app for Android and i0S devices with editing features to trim, split, merge, and adjust video clips. While editing, it can adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and apply filters. With Inshot, one can add music, sound effects, and voiceovers to the editing video.

Other features are: Addition of animations between video clips, Adds customizable text and stickers, Adjusts brightness, contrast, and saturation. It saves edited videos in various formats and resolutions.

• WPS Office

WPS Office is a productivity suite app for Android and iOS devices, offering word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools to create and edit documents that are compatible with MS Word. It can also be used to Create and edits spreadsheets (compatible with MS Excel).

Other vital features are: Creation and editing slideshows (compatible with MS PowerPoint), Converts files to and from PDF, Integrates with WPS Cloud, Google Drive, and Dropbox, Real-time co-authoring and commenting, it offers pre-designed templates for documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.



Question 3; Which application will you delete if you run out of storage and why?

Considering the three apps I mentioned earlier (MX Player, InShot, and WPS Office), if I run out of storage, I will delete MX Player.

Reasons:
  1. I have alternative media players such as; VLC, Google Play Movies.

  2. I frequently use streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, or Amazon Prime Video.

  3. MX Player's functionality can be replaced by other apps.



Question 4; If you are opportuned to create an application, what will it be about?

If I'm opportune to create an application right now, I will tackle the application that is more of educational and interactive measures. A kind of app that will focus on environmental sustainability, climate change, and social responsibility.

Such app that has the features where users can create a profile that can answer questions about their daily habits, location, and interests. Such app will provide tailored suggestions and tracks progress. It should also function in educational quizzes and testing of users' knowledge on environmental topics.
