INDEPENDENCE DAY OF MY COUNTRY!
Every country has that special day when dey got their freedom from their oppressor, it's a day every citizen that country recognizes. Colonization is just oppression and no country not a even an individual deserves to be oppressed.
For my country it's a very special day to us for everyone, because being oppressed under is not something we even wish for our great enemy nation.
I hope you enjoy your read as I share with you just few details about the Nigeria independence day.
THE DATE OF INDEPENDENCE IN MY COUNTRY AND WHOM MY COUNTRY TOOK INDEPENDENCE FROM!!! |
---|
My country Nigeria got their independence from Britain on 1 October 1960. It's a day all Nigerians whether born or unborn will always know.
Nigeria got their independence from the British government, the queen of England in particular. We took back our power of governance to govern ourselves even though we still borrow their style of governing.
THE PROMINENT FIGURE ASSOCIATED WITH MY COUNTRY'S INDEPENDENCE AND WHY HE IS IMPORTANT? |
---|
The main head and individual that engineered Nigeria's independence is called Nnamdi Azikuwe.
Nnamdi Azikuwe came from the Eastern part of Nigeria, the Igbos. He then became Nigeria's and was the first president of Nigeria after fighting for the independence of the country.
ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH MY COUNTRY'S INDEPENDENCE DAY |
---|
Well, there's not much activities associated with my countries independence, but the main activity is just celebration in the whole country. All schools are meant to hold events to make children and students know their countries independence day.
And sometimes the country host an event that is attended by all it's 32 state's Governors. A very big event at it's federal capital territory (FCT) Abuja.
WHY I THINK INDEPENDENCE IS COMPULSORY FOR ALL NATION AND COUNTRY? |
---|
Like I said earlier no man, not to talk of a whole deserves to be oppressed. Colonization is just oppression and is not good for any nation. Every country and nation deserve to country and live olin their hometown however they want.
OF COURSE! there you have it once again. And it'll be A PLEASURE to know you enjoyed your read by dropping a comment. Do ensure to take part in the contest if you'll love to.
